Congrats everyone gettin visa. We are still waiting for the visa office to call. We are hoping they call by the end of this week or next week for husband to pick up visa. We know the kids medicals were sent on monday. I am hoping they call before the 22nd when I am due to fly home. It is very hot and dry right now where I am in Jamaica but enjoying it.
it will take a shorter time to sponsor children because you already add them to the application u don't ave to do over medical. Remember medical is good for a year.

We have some questions any help would be appreciated. My husband and I have decided to bring both his children to Canada when he arrives. Is it a shorter process for the children? Will we have to redo the medicals as they were just done? What are the fees that need to be paid for both children? Do we need proof again of our relationship with the children? Can I sponsor the children like i sponsor my husband or does my husband have to sponsor them.
my children will be accompanying me to Canada and we paid 300can for both of them.

Hi everyone,

My hubby had his interview this am and left with visa and landing papers! We applied Aug 25, 2016 as well. Whole process was 5 1/2 months. Can't believe it's actually over!

He only got asked about how often we travel to see each other and if my hubby still works at the same job. He was a white guy in his 30s, really nice hubby said. The ball is rolling and picking up momentum!

Good luck to everyone, have faith!

Congratulations! This is great news for all of us that have interviews coming up.

Haha, did you find out anything about the AOR? I just tried linking my application, but no success. I tried using all my information instead of my hubby. not sure if thats the right way to go.

1. Logged in with GC Key account.

2-a. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/pasted application number from email (including the F) and entered PA's last name.
3. City of Birth - I entered 1 space (hit space bar once)

That is really quick, great news for you, the baby and hubby. It seems like 2016/2017 is the year to be sponsoring loved ones through KVO. I was hoping for 12 months initially but if all goes well it will be less than 5 months :D!

Hi Guys

Hubby had his interview today and got his approval on the spot. He said that the interview/question process took about 5 minutes for the approval. He had to wait for sometime for them to process the documents.

The lady asked him about 5 questions:
1. My age and His age
2. If I had kids
3. If he has kids and if they were coming with him.
4. Asked if he could leave before his criminal record expired in the summer
5. Confirmed that he has not been involved in any criminal activity since getting his record check

I would like to thank everyone for sharing their story, it was extremely encouraging to both of us. I cant express how much this thread assisted me/us in this process. I encourage everyone to prepare because everyone situation is different.

My application was received Sept 12th and sent to Kingston Nov 1st for processing. He got the call for the interview the Jan 9th, he missed the call so they sent an email setting the date for Feb 9th. That said 4 1/2 - 5 mths later here we are. This is soooooooo awesome. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
