good day all, after reading all the stories for months I have decided to register to get some support from al of you. Fist let me say I commend you for all your patience. So here is where I am at now. My husband papers were submitted Oct 16, 2015, I was approved Jan 5, 2016, application sent to Kingston Feb 8th 2016 for processing. On May 20th, 2016 immigration requested marriage certificate, right of landing fee, and photos for his 3 children ( who wont be accompanying him) and police record for one who turned 18 this year. Docs were to be submitted by July 10th 2016 however my representative submitted them June 5th. Does anyone know what next? Was this a good sign for me?

First off welcome to the Kingston forum. Secondly I added your info to the Kingston spreadsheet the link is under my posts. I see that our timelines are very similar my application was sent in on Oct 23rd. Right now were are in the middle of waiting. Lately apps have been getting approve around the 12-14 month mark so we still have a while to go.

Yeah I'm noticing that as well, happy for them but at the same time upset because they're with their spouses everyday they're not apart cic should at least give spouses visitors visa who are Outland as long as there are no criminal records because at the end of the day for those applying inland if they get turned down there's also no guarantee they'll leave if they're ask to.

Yeah that's true I completely agree. At this point if I had known I would have tried for a visitors visa first and done this whole process inland but then again they hardly give out visitors visas. Just have to hold the faith our day will come.

Tell CIC your thoughts on how they can change the immigration system. Maybe enough complaints will get KVO rolling LOL...

Thinking of Toni876 today as her hubby is landing today. Praying for safe travels and a joyous reunion.

good evening everyone, what am I looking at for costs $$$ for medical in Mobay, I believe is the approved doctor. Hubby lives in Runaway Bay so if there is another recommended in St Ann, that would be great! The medical is for my husband and step son (13) but he is not going to be coming right away but I understand he needs to have it done just the same. Many thanks!!

I am happy to see some progress over the last week. Congrats and good luck

In addition, i got my notes this morning. Mine is still showing Jan 17 as the due date.

Does anyone know how long it's currently taking for childrens outland applications approximately? Hubby has a family member who is in Canada and just got ppr for his kids after only putting the application in about 2-3 months ago? Is this normal time wise?

I don't think it'll be any different from sponsoring a spouse they still have to go through approval of sponsor etc etc but I'm not sponsoring a child so can't say for sure, 2-3 months is quite fast though almost unbelievable but I'm no expert stranger things has happen

I thought it was fast too! But they've got ppr today and it's only been 2-3 months. We need to put in applications for hubby's boys and don't want to expect a year then in 3 months have to get everything together and ready within a couple months instead... especially since we will need a bigger home and vehicle .
