Hi everyone! How are you all! I have been so busy lately with the holidays coming up, its hard to find the time to get on here. I just read back over the few ppsts ive missed since ive last been here. I know its been slow at the VO, which is so frustrating. I really feel for you guys. Its going to be fantastic when your spouses come in the upcoming year. I cant wait to hear more stories.
My hubby (Patrick) has been settling in well, working hard and hes certainly getting used to fast food and Tim Hortons lol. The kids are loving that hes here. Hes also seeing how Canada is no bed of roses, and how much everything costs.
I hope his PR card comes soon.
He got his G1 last week and has his G2 road test coming up in January. Yay.
I am praying for you all, and wishing nothing but the best for you all ;)

Hi All, hoping someone can help. Hubby immigrated to Canada 7 months ago from Jamaica. He has received his PR card. I want us to go on vacation in the summer of 2016 to somewhere in USA or to Cuba. Is his PR card enough for travelling? Does he need a special visa to travel outside of Canada? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Yup he will need a visa for USA as well as Cuba.

If you don't want to bother with getting a visa and aren't fussy about destinations consider Mexico, Dominican Republic as well as any caricom country. Me and hubby have gone to Mexico and Nassau while we wait for his papers. I'm pretty sure we will pursue a USA visa once he lands so we can do a few road trips etc.

Good luck and Bon voyage!

I know my fren... I cant say that my wife pay tax and reason been that she is a native American indian but I think she did tell me that she pay some kind of tax still bt I cant remember right now. But still tax payers should be a country first priority but from how this world is going is government first then stranger then citizens at the bottom of the table eating scraps.
