So maybe some good news, the call center told me this morning Kingston added a note to my file yesterday to confirm that there was an error and that I was correct and my documents support my 3 emails stating only one child is to accompany my husband here not both. The note says visa should be issued immediately.... according to the agent it is not asking for advise just stating a fact in my file so let's see what immediately looks like to Kingston as they have not responded to my emails.. I guess I should be excited but I feel the email was sent to mississauga for a reason

Anyone know what the average wait time seems to be like to get pp back from.Kingston. its been 6 days (I know still early) but we've been waiting sooo long I'm anxious for this to all be over n have hubby home with us. Plus we are renting his place he's living in right now so need to figure out when to give our notice.

Over 6 weeks ago? Are there issues with you application? That seems like a long time for a pp return. Hoping to get what the average time is.

we have been waiting 6weeks now and from what I was told it take 6 to 8 weeks, but what I know is that every situation is totally different because only recently someone got theirs in 18 days.

A friend of mine & Hubby's passport was requested and send in beginning of December - he got a call today to arrange with FedEx for pick up in POS.....been almost 2 months they have had his PP & there are no issues on his file at all....simple, straight forward, no kids, etc. Looks like POS is moving now. Hoping it makes its way back to Kingston quickly for him!

my personal view is that I don't think they should keep an important document such as your passport for two months especially if their are visas in it, but they know you we need what they have so that's it for our opinion, emotion, frustration etc. We just have to keep being extra patient with everything and the process.

Yes we need to continue being patient but the longer the wait the harder it is to me patient..

Average wait time for Kingston is about 2 weeks. I don't know why POS is taking longer. Just keep watching ecas for decision made and then you know the pp will be back in a couple days

Hi,

I am new to this from, just one question, why would the request you to send your passport to POS if you live in kingston, jamaica...just curious.

Some applications from Sept. 2013 to Dec 2013 has been fowarded to Port of Spain to help Kingston office. Applications sent from Jan 2014 until current date are processing in Kingston.

I agreed, I don't really understand why they keep PP so long, short of staff or the classic answer would be backlog….
