When we filled out the form we itemized electronics individually i.e. laptop, smart phone, iPod, etc. with the Canadian value of each and for clothes we didn't itemize them, we simply put 'clothes' with an approximate/guesstimate Canadian value (on the higher end -- rounded up). As for misc. items I would suggest 'guesstimating' again. My hubby brought his great grandfather's harmonica. How are you truly supposed to put a price on that? Maybe we should have put 'priceless' in the value column.

We didn't encounter any problems and I think the Immigration officer was just happy we completed the form because I don't think a lot of people do.

Thank you. Ok so you ddn't seperate all the clothes and guestimated the cost of most things. Did you have to pay any duty on any of it? Or is that the point of this list. To itemize your on personal items so you don't have to pay duty on it?

We itemized everything except clothing and put the approximate value for each.

Correct, you will not pay any duty on these items.

Thank you @sammystorm19.. I can see it is a long process. i am such an unpatient person it will be the hardest for me because it is new the end.. i love Jamaica but im definitely tired of going back. The expensive is so much plus the coming back without my husband

Ok so the guy we normally rent a car from isn't renting cars anymore and I need a car rental in Kingston for 9 days. I'm looking for something where i don't need to get a bank load to add a deposit on for the week... LOL

Anyone know of companies where a huge deposit isn't required?
