I'm nt sure but I apply in april 2012 , n frm that time to nw is 22months so I'm wondering wats goin on

When you applied in April 2012, Stage 1 processing was taking approximately 90 days so if you were approved in July 2012, your application should have been transferred to Kingston then. Stage 2 processing begins when your application reaches Kingston so if they received it in July 2012 then you are at 19 months. Do you know when Sponsorship approval was received? It doesn't make any sense why your application would have been transferred in January 2013. If that is the case then your application is only at the 13 month mark. :(

There are a few things you can do:

1) send an email to Kingston asking them for an update on your application
2) have the Sponsor contact their Member of Parliament and ask them to help
3) order your GCMS notes

Hopefully you can find out what is going on with your application.

Good luck!

congratulations! and a happy happy life. defnitely God hears our prayers.

Hello and welcome CalgarianCanuck! The best advise is to try to be patient and realize that it is definitely NOT as fast as it use to be. Hopefully you will be reunited with your wife and daughters quickly.
thank you. so do i

Sponsor was approve 28june 2012, n kingston recieve file in july.did ur own take 21 months?

That makes more sense! :D

That means your application is at 19 months for Stage 2 processing which is (sadly) still within the processing timelines.

Our application took 21 months from the day we applied until the day my hubby received his visa. Stage 2 processing (from the time KG received it) took 18 months.

Again, I would suggest having the Sponsor (not sure if that is you or your spouse) order the GCMS notes and see if there is anything in them that indicates where your application stands. It will take 30 days for them to be sent to you by email.

Hi DG! :-*

Life is treating us well, I can't believe it's almost been two months since hubby landed.

I was REALLY hoping KG was going to hand out a couple of PPR Valentine presents on Friday...
:'(

I see you and your disposition are staying sunny! :D

Wats a gcms ? N how do I go about that, I'm the 1 who's bein sposor.

Here is the information I provided awhile ago regarding GCMS notes:

GCMS notes (Global Case Management System) are notes that are made on your file. The Sponsor can order them online or by mail for $5 and the Applicant has to sign a consent form. They take 30 calendar days (sometimes longer) to be sent to the Sponsor once they are ordered.

A lot of people order the GCMS notes if they have been in the process (around a year) and haven't heard anything from Kingston. It is also a good idea to order them if you are scheduled for an interview.

Should you choose to order the notes, here is the link to the CIC website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Please note: there may not be a lot of information in your notes so it's up to you if you want to order them. Not all visa officers update the system on a regular basis.
