Hi! My name is JosyAnn and I just registered to the forum. I am a Canadian woman who is presently working on filing to sponsor my husband which is Jamaican...
I am seeking advices and previous experience from people who went through (or are going through) the same process... Am I at the right place? :-[

Welcome JosyAnn... You are definitely in the right place ;)... If u have any question just ask, and one of us will get back to you!... Also it might be helpful to read some of the past posts to see what's what, maybe you will find an answer to any question you might have

Hi!
I'm very happy to finally find this forum! I have been lookin for a while, but mostly on facebook...
I was about to do that (read past posts) but then I saw that there are 3000 pages... I don't think I'll ever be able to read through it!!
My situation is the following: me and my husband have been married since April 7th, 2012 and we have a son (born December 11th, 2012)... I didn't file yet (complicated story) but I am about to do it... I saw online that the delays for the Kingston office is like 22 months... Makes me want to cry... Is this for real??

Welcome!!

If you find Chickie72 in the past posts and look under the ticker you will see a spreadsheet with past and present members. On there you will see wait times of 6 to 22 months. It's all hit and miss with Kingston and WE have no idea on how they work on the applications. So yes...you could be waiting 22 months or if they process your application sooner then it could be even quicker

Some of us on here have a lot of knowledge as we've been on here way to long waiting. So pull up a seat, get comfy and ask any questions you want.

At yyz waiting to board for mbj... Hoping I don't have too many more of these left...

Hi I have a question for everyone. My husband finally got the call to go to Mobay to take his passport to mail in to Kingston also to send a prepaid return envelope. How long do u think it will be before his paperwork comes in?? And how long do we have to get him to Canada?
