So for taxes, if we as sponsors do not support them, can we claim their income on ours as the dependant still?

Well your message came across with attitude in it like you did not believe what Sammy said just because your accountant told you this was not true. I just tried to show you that your accountant was incorrect. We have been here for over two years and that would be two tax seasons we have gone through and we learned this from other members before us who had done this previously also. That is why this forum is a good thing because it educates us all. I am certain newer members here wouldn't have known this either and this is a lesson learned for all.

BTW...... Einstein has nothing on me! :P :P :P :P j/k.....trying to find some humor!

I always come off wrong (give the wrong impression of my attitude) when I write things, so don't take it the wrong way.

AHHH i am freaking out right now!!

We got our notes back (2 days early at that) and it says that nothing has been done, and the only change was that it went from being with JA01318 back to registry! Didn't this happen to another member and wasn't this a bad thing? :(

Hey people!

My shoulders are a bit slumped today. My MPs office called me and said they heard back from KGN regarding the inquiry from a week or so ago and he confirmed that the application has been recieved and that the wait is 22 mths (duh!). KGN also said that 'individual files will not be expedited and that this has been known to happen in the past, but is no longer taken into consideration. If every MP was given access to push for one specific case for reasons other than specific compassionate then everyone would have their MPs inquirying for them and the wait would still be just as long' (......... ???) Oh well, I knew it wouldn't be as though he'd be home tomorrow or anything, but I think I would have rathered them do one of their famous generic emails so I could hold onto an itsy bit of false hope...haha

Also, another annoying thing is that I had sent in my RPRF Jan 21 and my MP inquired about the receipt of that as well and they said they never rec'd it. So I just forwarded my original email to CIC with the receipt to my MP and also the Read Receipt I got back when CIC read the email Jan 22...hopefully that's proof enough.

**Bummed out!**

22 months ...and the file is IN PROCESS ON ECAS

how nice!

Aw Mrs.P that is so discouraging! At least, at the end of this you can say you tried every possibility to get your husband here as soon as possible !

And we're not asking MPs to push every application, just the Fam Jam's applications :P

Ohhh Mrs. P keep your head up and shoulders straight! There is one thing that we have learned on this forum it is that KGN is inconsistent!! Didn't Wifey get through quickly and yet I do not think she contacted her MP. Lord only knows. And like so many other have said before this is truly a "KGN Lottery"!!

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day JAMFAM!!

Hoping for some good Hump Day news!!

chickie and sammy, you are 100% correct in claiming your spouse. As i had spent a large sum that year in wedding, buying a car, furniture etc I was able to get the full amount back. Your return will depend on thier world income and how much you can show you spent on your dependent. I sent a copy of MC, her TRN #, world income form and a copy of the spousal app and had no issues
