Did you get an email or mail from CIC saying you was approved and it was sent abroad for further processing? Sorry I don't know if you gave information before! Your visa office is kingston right? If you got that email from CIC that they sent it for futher processing, its probably at kingston, but you will have to enquire if they received or not. Sometime they won't email you.

Aww - I'm sorry you're upset! I have no earth-shattering status update LOL - just got the email saying they've received my application...perhaps he was making reference to someone else? In any case, while I'm not an expert, I don't believe whether my husband travelled outside of Jamaica or not would bear much weight in this process..perhaps moreso if it was a visitor visa application.

My husband and I were pretty young when we started dating too - I was fresh out of university at the age of 20/21. I'm sure with 7 years of history you have a lot more paper trail than I do! Keep your head high hun - if you need to chat we're here

Exactly. One of the bigger reasons I am happy for you is because of what your quick stat change means....... It proves that there ARE people at the high commission at work and gives hope to others on this forum. I have to mention DADDY'S GIRL here. Everytime someone gets through I am positive that she gets more hopeful rather than depressed and that's how I have decided to look at your sit. I am happy that this forum carries positive vibes and am more than happy to take part in and amplify it.

Tell your dad that most ECAS status change to in process when they are going to either 1) request documents from you or 2) request your passport.

Mi nuh want talk fi him business. He feels entitled to talk because of his situation when he got here. He wasn't with his wife for even 4 mnths before they were married and she fell pregs. Their relationship start after mine and finished already. He felt that because of that he got priority over ppl and got through. But he is blind becausei t's just luck of the draw, alot of ppl were in the same situation and still get held up in the system for years. Ppl with their common law wife for years with children (not child), paper trail and all. BWOUY him get mi started.

WOW just checked out the spreadsheet and we got 9 passports that need returned now...i don't think i ever remember seeing soooo many at one time. 7 still left from 2012 and lots of 2013 to go!

I enquired about the status of my application through e-mail 2 days ago. NO REPLY . Initially I jumped to the conclusion that someone using my papers for toilet paper or that the e-mail just taking up space on their account but I am going to be positive. Somebody looking for the docs so they can give me an answer ;D

Yes!! It took a few days before Kgn replied to my email. I saw that someone (I don't recall who) got an AOR within 2 weeks of their application being approved. So at about 2.5weeks after mine, I sent an email to be sure that it didn't get lost..a few days later they replied.

They replied to you in 2.5 weeks? I just want to them to acknowledge that they actually have mine too. I seriously don't think (as is proven in your case) that it takes 3 months to START processing. SMH

Agreed complete with Mrs.D - this process will drive us INSANE if we try to understand/question it all. There is no method/reason to this madness that's for sure!
