Posted on behalf of Waiting in Canada, who is a newbie and trying to figure out how to get here and post

"My husband had an interview Dec 2, 2014. (We were married Feb 1, 2013 and our application reached Kingston July 10, 2013) I was there also and the interviewer spoke to me and after hearing what I had to say simply said "I just need to be sure that you are sure". I said I was, my husband was given a form for another medical and a letter saying I would need to pay the RPRF (right of permanent resident fee). I got back to Canada and a letter from the case processing department in Mississauga, dated the same day as the interview was in my mail. It said "in order to conclude this application" I needed to pay the RPRF within 30 days. I paid it and sent a copy to Kingston. On Dec 29,2014 I got an email from Kingston saying they received the medical and RPRF and our file was now back in the pile with other applications like ours for further review. Has anyone else has something like this happen? And if you have how long did it take to get to the next step (requesting his passport)? Curious and frustrated."
Dear Waiting in Canada - Hope this works ! Now that you are here in the Kingston thread, when you want to submit a new question or new topic to be responded to, you scroll to the top of the page and on the right hand side there will be several blue tabs. Click on the one that says 'This topic' and that will open a blank window for you to type in. After you are finished, then click the "post" tab below the window.
For replies back and forth between you and other members look on the top right side of the post and you will see the word 'quote'. Click on that and the window will open only this time it will contain the text of the other member who has posted and underneath that word 'quote' inside of the window this time will be where you type your reply or comment or question. Those are the basics. I suggest you set the actual Kingston thread as one of your favorites. Also when you are out on the main general thread, if you get lost, look at the top of the page, click on the home button and then click on the family sponsorship section. The folks here are real helpful and kind so ask and practice away!!
