Good Morning JAMFAM!!

I really hope that Mr DG is here and DG has just been too busy to post her landing story ;)

Hoping KGN sends out another PPR today and then one tomorrow to help us all go into the Victoria Day long weekend with a little pep in our steps :D

I concur your sentiments THOR; Come on Kingston ;)

Good Day JamFam Sistrens & Brethrens,

First and foremost...Good morning I hope everyone is doing dandy!!!!

I swear I take off for a few days and this place goes haywire. Love Love Love what is happening on this forum and in Kingston.

Carm...Beautiful landing story!

NTBWH...Congrats on Decision Made...You will be in your husband's hands shortly.
LDH...Girl have a wonderful 3 week stay with hubby. Thanks for all the shout outs.
Kadi...I am sooooo happy that you are at the end of your journey.
JDubsGirl...Honey embrace and enjoy every moment. If you have too pinch yourself...lol! Trust, that it is real and he is not going anywhere.
Sh & Sh...If you need a baby sitter I would be more than happy to watch that precious little Angel. Congrats on Motherhood once again!
Mrs. Janadian...Congrats! On putting this long process behind you.
THOR...Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts.

Too eveyone that has had Mr. DG and I in their thoughts and prayers we are humbled and honoured. If I missed anyone I am sorry!!!

We are still waiting however; we know that our checkered flag is in the horizon. I have been getting ready for his arrival in the process of moving and making sure that my husbands arrival HOME is perfect. Mr. DG has been getting himself prepared as well...throwing out old things, arranging his documents, and being a patient little Mister waiting his turn.

Trust me when I say once the Good news is official I will not leave this forum in the dark. We both know that it is almost over just a few more yards left in this race.

Please know that this process is the beginning test for our marriages and will equip us with the necessary tools to be successful in our marriages such as Kindness to one another...Patience when we rather be annoyed and frustrated...Respect to understand the others point of view...and above all else...LOVE..this is the Glue that keeps us together and prevents us from giving up when things get hard.

As I conclude for now until, I am back with our Landing Story...Just know that each of you are always in my prayers and thoughts!!! :-*

Stay Sweet as Always!!! May the Odds Be in Your Favour!!!

Hi there........

I just want to give a little update. Life has been moving so fast you can not believe since hubby arrived.
When he got to the airport both of my children were with me. We were excited to see him! And we got the video of him arriving. :P

We have been so busy. Thursday my daughter made him eat a BIG MAC. She took lots of photos eating it. Then we drove him down Yonge Street and across the Gardiner. It was nice to finally get home and wake up beside him. I kept thinking I was dreaming. Also I kept trying to do so much , because I kept forgetting he is not going back. He called his mother and told he is in another world.

Friday I drove to Niagara on the Lake and we had a short walk around there, then we went to Niagara Falls. WE had a buffet for lunch and he won 100.00 in Casino. He couldn't believe the size of the falls, and all people.

HIs favourite place so far is Home Depot. I took him to Square One and he took the subway to the Eaton Centre. I toured him around City Hall Toronto, and Old City Hall. He is amazed at how many cultures we have here, including Sikhs, Muslims, Chinese, Indians etc. HE has toured China town and eaten in a Polish restaurant.

It is so nice to cuddle up to him on the couch and watch movies. We were so cozy last night that we stayed right there and never moved.

On Sunday we went to church at Kennedy Road Tabernacle, and then he visited with one of his aunts who he had not seen in more than 25 years. She is now 90. I only have time to write this because he is being tested for his ESL Courses.

I need to get going now and pick him up. This is the first time I have left him alone and he is a little nervous!

Lovely landing story Josephine! So happy for you!

Re: Has anyone else received an email for "repayment of deportation expenses"?

Hi Needhimback,

To be honest, it was such a long time ago and such a blur - either way, we're willing to do whatever it takes just to get this over and done with already.

needhimback said:
Hello there I can relate to your story. he will get to come back just need to pay the fee. My husband paid his own airline ticket when he was leaving, so he will not be charged a $1000 fee when returning back. Did they not give you guys a choice ??? ............. they did with us; "either you pay or we pay" and if we pay you own us $1000 upon return if you pay, you owe us nothing only $400.00 for ARC fee.

Regardless you will need to pay the ARC fee.

Hi Kadi27 - thank you!

I really should have joined sooner - everyone's so nice and helpful! And extremely supportive of one another :)

My husband and I have definitely come to a realization that Kingston wants to delay us so we're just throwing all the original documents that they could possibly ask for! Lol

Kadi27 said:
Hi MrsG and welcome! :)

We were asked to submit original marriage cert before we got PPR; so I do recommend you send it; anything that has a possibility of causing a delay, always try to be ahead with.

I felt the same too, thinking how crazy it seemed for Kingston to ask for the original when they only asked for copies when sending in the application...

You should definitely give your husband an original of your Marriage Certificate, just in case.

Twoheartsonelove said:
Really?? Who else had to submit original marriage certificates? I ask bc why not ask for it when we send in all the other documents to Ottawa which is then forwarded to KGN? I believe it was only a photocopy that was required. I have both copies of our marriage certificate here so maybe I should bring one down for him to keep and send if asked by KGN. Anything else original that they may ask for that I should leave with him? (besides his passport and birth certificate of course which he has)

I guess I got the VO who likes to ask for all the originals lol

sammystorm19 said:
They don't always ask for originals when you get PPR request. Some VO agents ask for Birth and Marriage certificate others don't ask for them at all and just ask for your passport.

You will get all originals back though then your spouse gets their PP back

:)

So sweet of you! I use to be in the caring field as a Child and Youth Worker in a Group Home and Emergency Shelter for at risk youth between 15-24.

To be honest, I Love "Love" and Relationships. I take pride in my Marriage and being a great Wife. Relationships, Marriage, and Partnership are not easy and require a lot of work and effort. I learn from the healthy marriages around me and most importantly, I get guidance from the book with all the answers...The Bible.

Mr. DG and I, completed a Bible Study that was specific to marriages and I must say it was the best thing we have done together. This study has given us the foundation and keys necessary in order for us to be the best husband and wife to each other. If you are interested I would be happy to pass the link on and you and your spouse can complete it together.

Thanks for the love hun; well I will patiently await your landing story. :-*
