In with the good air and out with the bad! :D

Try not to worry, Wifey_BT -- it is completely normal that the visa officer only requested the passports. We only had to submit hubby's passport and his flight itinerary. The only reason we were asked for the flight itinerary was because THEY cut it too close and they wanted the proof that he could land in canada within a month of his medicals expiring for a 2nd time. We did not have to provide original certificates or an updated schedule A and everything turned out fine! This process makes us worry right up until the bitter end!

Yes it sure does, I will be worrying until he has it back in his hands and I know they are both free to come. I noticed they are not processing visa issuance in the 2-3 weeks anymore, its more like mths now. And the stress continues.

I'm curious ladies, does your husbands have their original small birth certificate? At the start of this my husband had to get a replacement b.c and it's bigger than the original small one I wonder if they consider this an original

Hi Mrs. Davis! :D

When we applied we submitted a copy of hubby's long birth certificate with his father's name on it. Plus, we had all of the copies of certificates i.e. birth, marriage, etc. notarized. Maybe they didn't ask us for originals because they were notarized...who knows with Kingston...there seems to be less and less consistency...

Good morning. Happy Saturday. I think i am going to go shopping today but first I am meeting a pregnant ladies club lol. What are you up to this Saturday o&o darling?

Wifey -our passport request did not ask for any pictures to go along with it. It only asked for the original copies if birth and marriages certificates and a new schedule a and of course the pre paid envelope. Hubby is going to the embassy to drop off pp so his will just have one tracking number I'm guessing. Pretty much the same info o&o gave :)

Good afternoon LDL that's very nice enjoy I'm at work lol.

This is another reason I'm worried, none of those documents were notarized for us. We just sent in copies as it asked for.

Lol.

I'm with Nev. Everyone is different, if they needed more stuff from you they would have asked. If it makes you that nervous then take the original copies with you when you hand it and ask them when you get there? But I think if they needed it they would have asked!!

It worries me that she didn't request the originals for the birth or marriage certificates. All she requested was the passports. I thought it was the norm for them to request to see the originals when they are doing visa issuance. Stress ball from hell now :'(

No need to stress my hubby wasn't asked for originals. Everyone is asked for different things.
