I have a question. Should the certificate of departure be sent in with the application?

Thanks Sammy!

We applied May 29, 2013. And I received approval June 18, 2013 (so maybe closer to 20 days - lol). We were married on Feb. 13, 2013 on his MoBay property.

I look forward to having people that can relate. I'm so tired of hearing "OMG, I could NEVER do what you are doing with the long distance." I get it's in awe, but sometimes I just am not in the mood to hear it.

It's a struggle and now my husband and I are talking babies... *eeps! I'm on the fence about getting pregnant before he comes, but being 30, makes me think that perhaps we should start trying!

Any questions or clarifications, I'm an open book so please don't be afraid to ask :D

Janean

We have almost the same timeline. I was approved June 12th....3 days after our first baby was born :)

What part of Canada are you living in? We have members in here from almost coast to coast

Hi Everyone!

I'm new! As in... registered today new! I finally decided to register after ghost-stalking this forum for the past couple of months. I am new to the application process compared to some of you, but we are waiting.

Just 18 days after submitting our application, I was approved as sponsor and we are now on the waiting game for the hubby to be approved. I am heading to Jamaica this December to spend my birthday with him, and it's the very least we can do.

I agree that I couldn't imagine asking for more time apart, when the time we are apart seems to last forever.

I hope I will be able to get the emotional support I need in this trying time and I have nothing but positive wishes for everyone to have a speedy and positive application process! ;D ;D ;D

Welcome to our forum family Ninirae!! Glad that you are no longer a ghost!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and get ready for Monday cause Kingston is going to be calling and there is going to a party up in here!!

Welcome Ninirae! You and I share a close time line.. I too applied May 29th and
was approved July 5th... Followed the forum for some time before I joined. Wish I
had found it months before.... while arranging my paperwork. However, the people
on this forum give me strength, laughter and hope everyday!!!

EEPS! Everyone is already so awesome *squealing with content*

I'm happy that I share similar timelines with people so that we can compare notes!

I'm in Brampton, Ontario. What about everyone else?

Sammy! You guys have a baby!!! How is that for you guys? Isn't it hard?

Just trying to send you few suggestions as you seem a little misguided and bitter.

Gosh Danny, you a psychologist? or a psychic, How did you find out? I really miss "guided" and "bitter". They were so sweet, one of the two fellows took my nooki and dumped me. The other gave me craps.. How can I move on?

I'm in Hamilton but use to live in Brampton. Still visit there all the time

Have a baby is great. Not having my husband here for the birth or just being here in General is hard. She's 5 months now but I was lucky and spent almost 2 months down there after she was born. I will be going back in a few months to spend probably another couple months there. Really hoping he's here before I'm done my mat leave. If you go back a few pages you will see a couple pics of my sweet little chunky monkey

I am super excited to see all the PPR's (and landing stories possibly) this month for our long-term members! I understand that this process either makes or breaks a couple due to the added stress and minimal communication from the government. I must also acknowledge the huge effort my husband has to make to deal with my emotional breakdowns when I get discouraged. Unfortunately I cannot empathize with members who wish they had extra time away from their partner, because every night when I go to bed I wish my husband was here with me.

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to active members that consistently contribute to the positive energy on this forum. I recognize that it is not always easy to remain positive when you see others being approved before you, but after a hard day I always feel so much better after reading the positive posts from Chickie, Neveah, and others.

Thanks, lcw. :-*

We're all in this together and we're happy to have you with us for the journey.
:D

we never sent ours in with our app

Nev.

I noticed you have a side note saying you have gotten a medical extension. How did you find that out..

Looks like you are only about a week away from your 20 month mark.
Christmas is coming for you and Chickie I can feel it.

Awww, thanks for your support, danielle. I would love to have my hubby home with me for Christmas and so would everyone else on the forum that is waiting to be reunited! :D

I emailed Kingston just before his medical and police certificate were expiring. KG replied and asked my hubby to re-do the police certificate (they also sent him a letter in the mail) and they told us his medicals had been extended; the information is also in our GCMS notes.

Since Stage 2 processing begins from the date of Sponsorship approval, our 20 months mark won't be until Feb 2014!!!! To be honest the posted timelines don't mean much to me at this point...
