Did you ask the Call Centre agent whether or not your security checks are complete? Don't just keep asking them if everything looks all right. And they'll keep saying, "Everything is OK, sir." LOL.

yes but you're still braver than me - at least you're dealing with CIC - I'm still sitting on the sidelines. I think I'll wait till I have all my days post PR before applying for citizenship, should be less complicated and may even be quicker than if I apply now using my pre-PR days.

I guess I should've ordered the full physical notes...

1. You ok to share what it states (of course removing any personal details e.g. name, UCI etc?. It should at least have reference to some of your background checks commencing and file location (which you know anyway).

2. Asking for the physical notes can be a catch 22 since they retrieve your actual application including issued RQ and your submitted documents, make copies and send these to you. (Most of which you have anyway). What happens when the agent is done..does he/she carefully put your file back in its position in line? What if they put it to the side as its Friday and they are going to watch the latest movie released and they will deal with it on Monday? Is a 'hold' placed on the file? It seems your RQ was for the NPR issue. Presumably if you are travelling on a Swedish passport there is a lack of stamps when travelling say to the EU that may have triggered additional scrutiny. If it helps better a pre-test RQ as you have...they seem to be adding circa 6 months to the process..well one hopes anyway!

Thank you for posting GCMS sample, Swede. Interesting, your case status is 'Open', I thought that RQ cases were supposed to be 'On Hold' as internal procedures suggested (to prevent from accidental scheduling of a test/interview), though these policies might have been updated. Also, seems checks were initiated at once and took a month or so at most. Can you see transfer date anywhere? Apart that change of responsible office can be figured out from the notes.

An update:

Just came home and found the test invitation letter in my mail box.

The test will be held in the Scarborough office at 1:00 pm.


Timeline:

Application sent: sept, 2012

Acknowledgment of receipt: November, 2012

Started processing: Feb, 2013

Fingerprint request: May, 2013

Fingerprint done and sent electronically the same month.

Citizenship invitation letter for the test: November, 15, 2013

Citizenship test will be: November, 26, 2013

Ecase was updated today as well to show the same above info regarding the test.

The funny thing was that I checked e-case today at around 12:30 afternoon and it was not updated, but when I checked it now after I saw the letter in the mail box, it was updated !

Looks like they feed the system and it loads up the info gradually by itself 24/7

The letter is dated November, 13, 2013 and was received by Mail November, 15. It means that it took one day only to be delivered by Canada post from Scarborough to Mississauga, and 2 days to be updated on e-case.
