Does anyone have a direct phone number to the Scarborough IRCC? I called the general one right after 8am and was bounced twice.
Does it even matter if you speak with anyone about your application on the phone..?

Any idea how long it takes to get the passport after receiving citizenship certificate?
Depending on what type of Passport you are applying for, I mean to say what category.

Regular passports without travel plans:

Postal: More than 3 months
Mail in : More than 3 months
Walk in Service Canada: more than 3 months

urgent passports with Travel plans:

travel dates:
Less than 2 days:
Urgent Pickup: $ 110 Fee + Passport Fee

Travel More than 2 days:
Express Pick up $ 50 per application + Passport Fee

If you would like to have a peace of mind, just get a ticket to Newyork or somewhere (fully refundable) and go for express pickup pay 50 extra get the passport and say goodbye to passport canada and cancel the ticket and get your money back, all you lose is 50 dollars extra per passport but it is worth than waiting and calling million times to speak once to know it is not reviewed Yet. Follow the passport application forums for more details.

The timelines are based on most common reviews by the applicants, it doesn't apply to one in blue moon who got their regular application quick passport. I am a Walk in Service Canada Applicant waiting for the passport (Applied at Service Canada on March 19th, Mail out April 20th, Passport printed May 12th (for my son & myself), May 18th (wife), yet not received, and they say they haven;t mailed out yet. as of today I have not received my passport. There are people who applied before me and not received , some applications not even reviewed Yet.

Agree 100% here. It really is brutal. I wonder if it would go any faster if they removed the silly guarantor / reference nonsense. I'm not at this stage yet, but as a frequent traveler outside Canada, I think I may just bite the bullet, and pay the additional $110 to be done with this step. I'm sure that will require a ridiculous hours-long lineup (instead of allowing us to simply reserve an appointment for urgent needs), but worth the effort to be done. Considering the adventure many of us have in getting this far, it's nice to know there is an expedited option to close the whole thing out completely.

So... I finally received the oath invitation!! Honestly, it only happens when you stop caring about it and/or make a long vacation plan lol. I received the oath email today and the ceremony is scheduled for a week after. Just relieved that the process is almost over now! I hope you all receive the good news you've all been waiting for, it won't be too long. Sending you lots of love and luck to those who are still in the queue<3 Below is my timeline:

Citizenship Application:
Citizenship Test Taken & Passed: Feb 18, 2022
Citizenship Test Completed: Feb 21, 2022

Physical Presence, Prohibitions, Language Skills Completed: May 13, 2022
Citizenship Oath activity updated (I guess DM?): May 16, 2022

Citizenship ceremony Invite: May 31, 2022
Citizenship ceremony: June 7, 2022

Please update on the spreadsheet, thank you!!

I sent email to SCR office for request to schedule me for Oath. My test is been completed since 26 Jan. No update since than. Below is reply ( They are quick in reply for saying No. )

---------------------------------

Good day,

Citizenship Applications entails several stages and the knowledge test is simply one of these stages. A final review is yet to be conducted on your file before a decision is rendered. We will not expedite any applications for ceremony without a final decision on file.

It is your responsibility to ensure you keep all documents valid in the event you need to travel.

Regards,

Scarborough IRCC Team / L.TA (Citizenship Officer)

As I now moved out of Toronto to Niagara Falls. Filled out webform today. Does anyone know if it makes any difference for oath scheduling?

Did you used the same email address from where you got the test invite? I want to request an early oath ceremony as we are planning to travel by July 18th. Our application has decision made on May 26th. Thanks
