I did not mark all of the milestones so Il try to help with as much detail as possible.
AOR: 11th June
PPR: 11th December

EXACTLY 6 Months

We got an enquiry asking my to authorize my husband for the funds I possess which added an almost 20 day delay to our timelines.

Recently, we sent out an email for my lost passport and they gave us an extension of a month to submit my new passport.

We submitted our passports to VFS global CVAC office at Viman Nagar, Lalwani icon, Sakore Nagar, Viman Nagar
- Its a new office and staff is a little confused but they completed our work in 30 mins)
- payment has to be done in cash only!

Waiting for the visa now

Congratulations to those who received their golden email. I crossed six months timeline on 2nd December without a single inquiry about my file as it is being handled by my representative. So now after hearing the NDVO mailing strategy i am also tempted to mail NDVO. But do we need to mail by the registered id i.e. the one mentioned in the application or any id works??

You can try emailing with your email ID if your representative won't. But NDVO won't respond to you if your application hasn't been approved.
To confirm the status of your application, Call CIC. Ensure you have your application details (application number, UCI number, email address, phone number, address, etc with you before you call)

Hi guys, I just checked my CIC account and found that my status has changed to 'Approved' (I had submitted my passport on Dec 18). I also noticed that an additional table is now visible. One of the columns in this new table reads' Date of Expiry' (this does not correspond to my passport expiry date). Has anyone else seen this? Can it be the deadline for first landing? Thanks

Of course it won't correspond to your passport expiry date if your medicals expire before your passport.

Guys! Just checked my email to find request for passport letter from NDVO. I received it at 10am Mauritius time (GMT +4)

It is surely as a result of my email sent to them 6 days ago.

I am.. AOR is June 20. File approved on Nov 21 as per CIC care agent. Sent email to NDVO 10 days ago. No response. Sent them email again today.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have decided to forget about the process till i receive my golden email.

All my plans failed because of this waiting game and I had never expected wait to be crossing October month.

It’s better I enjoy my new year and concentrate on other things.

my primary office is ottawa and i am inside Canada, should I send an email to NDVO ?

btw, my aor is 19th june and i got a ghost update in nov 16th.

i have sent an email to ottawa 10 days ago - 21st dec. no response.

A grave yard has more activity than AVO. I really don't know what they do there all day. Still at IP1 after 7 months.
