Hey guys,

i hope everyone is in good health. Been months since I checked my application status, but just noticed that background check set to “Not applicable “, earlier it was something like “we don’t need..”. Is it a general change or any of the other remaining ppl also have it (if any remain apart from me). Fyi since telephonic interview in feb, total silence!!

I assume you are a CEC applicant - finally, there is some light at the end of the tunnel for you :-). Still waiting to hear from IRCC.

I can imagine, never did either of us consider that it would take this long! My AOR is Oct 2018 too and am an FSW applicant.

That’s great! I hope we will receive our ppr. Local MP always have an accurate information right? Since they told us that all stages passed already. Do you think this will take longer for our Ppr? Hope to hear from you. Thank you. Keep safe! And God bless

Hey guys, any new update from anyone? I have a query, I recently got married. When adding my wife as a dependent, will she also get the PR along with me or that is a separate process?

@rohanid6 I am aware your application has been going on for a long time but I think you can still add your wife to the current application. It would be considered as spouse addition after aor. So ircc would just need PCCs, POF, some forms, and medical exam for your wife. You just need to raise a web form and inform them of the change in family status.

Once you submit forms for spouse addition to the application, IRCc will generate a uci for your wife and ask for a medical exam. Once Bgc and security is done for her, you should get ppr for both of you.

I hope this clarification helps.

Hi, what is the procedure for contacting an MP? I thought FSW outland can’t contact MP! I have friends and family residing in Toronto and Vancouver, can they contact on my behalf? Like GCMS?

They can but it won't make any difference.

@cansha @daveishan
I have another query. Can I apply for a Visitor Visa under extended family member for myself and my wife? Will ircc outright reject it since PR application is still ongoing?

I think your PR is kind of approved as per your GCMS notes only thing pending is COPR. So yes they may reject your visitor visa. But no harm in trying if money is not an issue.
