And is it normal that it’s almost been an year and the background checks have still not started ?
I had lost all hopes but someone told me that if they had to reject our file they would’ve done it long back within the 1st few months of filing the papers.
i am in the same boat..waiting for 387 days already

Hi everyone, I’m really happy to share that I received the PPR today morning from CPC Ottawa. I would like to thank this forum for all the help and support. Please find below the timeline-

AOR: 17th June
IP1: 29th June
IP2: 19th October
PPR: 22nd March

Raised GCMS notes in last week of Jan 2019 and received them on 28th Feb with following information- Eligibility-Met, Criminality-Passed, Security-Not Started (No info redacted anywhere), Ready to be finalized on 26th July 2018 with a due date of 29th July 2018.

Raised CSEs and received generic reply – in queue for review by an officer.

Called help center this week and luckily got connected with a helpful agent. Many thanks to the agent as she herself sent a note to the office to look into the file.

My suggestion to the June folks waiting for PPR and aware that everything is fine with the file, please try to call. It may help. All the best.
Congrats!

My time line is FSWO
AOR: May 29, 2018
IP1/MEP: June 8, 2018
ADR: June 26, 2018 (Declaration from Non-acompanying Parent Form)
IP2: March 12, 2019 (BG In Progress + Medical results changed from Passed to Not Required)
Ghost Update: March 19, 2019
CSE sent: March 21, 2019
Ghost Update 2: March 21, 2019 - Medical Results changed back from N/A to You Passed Medical.

I am very confused, i sent a CSE to Ircc because until IP2 it was dead silence. Then i sent CSE yesterday asking for a status update since i am 1 week short of 10 months since AOR and i advised them my medical will expire in 7 weeks time, do you have any idea why my medical results changed back to You Passed after sending the CSE the same day? I live outside Canada.

So I was away from forum for 3 days and this thread had 150+ posts. It is by far the best thread on this forum and good to see people still so active.

I just wanted to give another update from my side. My PR card application got approved and my PR cards were delivered to my friend's address in Toronto on 21st March. I was lucky that my photos got accepted in the very first time. I was hoping for that as they really cost a lot.

The timeline is as follows:

Soft landed: 18 Feb 2018
Ghost update: 16 Mar 2019
Application Approved: 19 Mar 2019
PR card delivered: 21st March
Wow mega congrats.
I thought the PR cards take 3 months?!

Finally, that most awaited 'Progress Bar' is displayed in my profile. I thought that it will give some insights.
But, no worth guys. It is showing Estimated Completion time as 'Dec 9' (Since my AOR date was Jun 9).

It just says, 'Your application is taking longer time than usual'

And their 20% application statement bla bla .. :(
Hi @IndiaSeCanada ... After your 6 month mark after how many days did you get your PPR n visa? Timelines please?..

That person has not received ppr yet, so have many other June applicants.

If you don’t receive ppr within 4-5 months, your application takes back seat as newer months start receiving ppr.

Only lucky ones get ppr within 6 months, rest have to wait anywhere from 7 months to more than a year.

Could anyone please let me know if we need to take an appointment for passport submission at VFS Pune?
Most likely not. it's usually a walk in appointment at the VFS.
