Glad to hear from a fellow 'security not started' sufferer! I spoke to an agent just last evening who told me my security too has still not been initiated (after Criminality was passed on 26th Oct 18). She also concurred that the progress bar is a sham - rather a refreshing conversation to have with someone on the other side of the line. To cut a long story short, she suggested I raise an email request to Ottawa (CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.c) telling them that in my case it is taking unusually long for security to commence. I've done the needful last evening, but have little hope they will act on it. I've also ordered my notes on 26th Nov, so someone will definitely have to get my file out at least by the 1st week of Jan when the 35-day period ends (as they say, notes are generated 30-35 days after being ordered). The agent herself mentioned that there is nothing we can do that will guarantee a look at the file by the visa officer - it's a game of chance. Having said that, cases are taking longer as the agent confirmed, and the progress bar is not helping since it's stuck at the 6-month processing period, which is no longer the case for folks like us!
@Singhne FYI

Guys,

It is finally PPPPPRRRRRRR..

Thankyou God and thankyou everyone here for always being a family that loves n support so much.

My husband got it on 12.26 PM today but he just checked it now.

Mailing to ndvo really helps.

I mailed them yesterday at around 10.30.

So,if you have crossed 6 months timeline and your file is approved, mail your lvo to raise this concern

I am so elated.

NDVO is on fire. Now I feel it would have been great if I could also send them email and would get ppr in return but I am unlucky even in that case.

Oh God, when will my unluck streak end.

Hi guys, do CIC have record of our callings? So if i want to call every week or two , would that cause me any problem?
the couple of times I called them , they told me eligibility is on going or still under review, with bg hasn't started yet, VO Montreal , Shall I ask about anything more specific next time I call ?

Has anyone of you NDVO guys with the same timeline received PPR today without sending an email? Just wondering if it indeed helps or just a coincidence.

Yes, they do have records of our callings and all sort of communications. They might not cooperate if frequency of calling is too high.

Yes they have a record- If you have ordered GCMS notes you would see all incoming and outgoing communication made with them

Please stop wondering send NDVO an email asap. At least that's what I would have done if my LVO was NDVO

Mine is not NDVO, so I'm just wondering if poking LVOs helps, or it was just a coincidence and NDVO sent PPRs to all possible pending cases, not just those who emailed them.
