Forgot to mention i also enclosed a copy of the delivery confirmation from canada post with tracking information when it was received on June 4 2014.

I got this email from CIC
This confirms that your application for Canadian Citizenship has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/06/16.

So it is received but no ecas and no processing time.of course no AOR.
I guess it is just not yet.

Did CIC have your info in the system when you called call centre?

Got the below email from CIC today

This confirms that your application for Canadian Citizenship has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/06/04.

My ecas is still not active.

i dont know if any of the things i did below initiated this email or not

1)I used this link to make a case specific enquiry for my self.

The above was done 2 weeks back

2)I also sent a mail via canada post that was received on Sept 8 with a cover letter requesting for status along with a copy of payment receipt.

One thing is coming out clear as i had mentioned earlier few weeks back,there are a number of applications towards may end and June.Applications are yet to be opened.
Call centre has no clear answers and typical response would it is returned back or lost.few call centre guys have mentioned the 6 weeks period that now looks more probable.

So for those who still have no status try the above approach to see if it triggers a email for you to atleast know that the application is at CIC and will be processed some time soon.

That's good news! And thanks for your info, I just sent an enquiry for myself just now and I'm hoping for a response. Mine was sent June 7th via reg mail

They may returned ur 2nd application if the 1st one got processed first, tho its still unclear why it took some june applicants this long!

I know! Atleast i know now that they have my application its just not process yet.. hopefully soon..

Thanks maple05. I have just submitted my Case Specific Enquiry along with postal proof stating my application was reached CIC Sydney Office safely and was signed by MK on 10-June-2014. Lets see what they would do to my case. Keep you posted for further any updates.
