I am still waiting as well... CIC received my app on June 3rd and still no word.

My friend who is a citizen now said sometimes it takes 5 months approx. for the eCAS to show up your info. So its better to wait patiently rather than sending a 2nd file..
Also if you can, contact your local MP like I did...

Sent the citizenship application which was received on 11-Jun-2014(by ExpressPost). No online update or mail. My friend who sent application after me received a letter around Aug-25.
Call center Agents do not have any information. Not sure what to do?

I received AOR and the study book in mail today.
App received June 21 (system lodged June 23) processing started Aug 14. I am from Calgary.

I just got the email confirmation too. At least i know that it did not get lost or returned. I will wait patiently now. Maybe there r too many June applicants.

Is there any email-id one can email to ask if the application package is not lost at their end or returned? Call-center agents do not have much idea about the application.
I am worried about lost/returned part. I verified my signature and completeness of documentation at least 5 times before posting it.

Got the below email from CIC today

This confirms that your application for Canadian Citizenship has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/06/04.

My ecas is still not active.

i dont know if any of the things i did below initiated this email or not

1)I used this link to make a case specific enquiry for my self.

The above was done 2 weeks back

2)I also sent a mail via canada post that was received on Sept 8 with a cover letter requesting for status along with a copy of payment receipt.

One thing is coming out clear as i had mentioned earlier few weeks back,there are a number of applications towards may end and June.Applications are yet to be opened.
Call centre has no clear answers and typical response would it is returned back or lost.few call centre guys have mentioned the 6 weeks period that now looks more probable.

So for those who still have no status try the above approach to see if it triggers a email for you to atleast know that the application is at CIC and will be processed some time soon.
