Ya I agree with you .

Hello guys, I think the processing of passport for visa stamping has slowed down. It has been more than a month now that my passport reached their office (April 22) but up until now, I didn't get it back. As long as it is still on the 13-month time frame, there is no need to worry about it. :) But then again it has always been on a case to case basis. Hope we all get done with this soon. Good luck to everyone! :)

As long as it is still on the 13-month time frame, is there 13 months limit for entire application process? My medical results reached Ottawa in February, and I still did not get the passport request. This is one of the most frustrating process.

It's not actually a limit. They state that 80 percent of cases are completed within 13 months, so it could be more, could be less. Once medicals are done, all that's left is security and criminality checks, and times for these are very unique to the person being checked. Usually when you are ready to give up is when you get moved on to the next step of the process -- hang in there. :)

Are you sure that Security/Criminality checks are done after medicals ? What I understand is that they are done prior to the medical request and after that its just a question of few weeks before receiving PPR :)

I'm on the same boat..did my medicals late March. Waiting for more than 2 months for PPR...

Correction ;D I think security is one of the last things done, maybe concurrent with medical. Looking over my GCMS notes just now it looks like criminality was done before my MR, and then I got PPR 4 weeks after meds were complete.

The thing with CIC is that they do not work in a just-in-time fashion (i.e. they don't move each case to the next step as soon as all the information are ready). It's more like a batch-by-batch process. Some cases might be ready to move on but nobody would work on these cases until after a few days or weeks.

Does your ECAS show that medical received at least?

Yes Orko... my ECAS shows medicals recd...from the time I did my medicals, it took 6 weeks for CIC to update status as "Medicals Received".

Guys, If my predictions are correct most of us should recieve our passports in the week of 10th June. Lets cross the fingers and wait.
