Oh thank you Sherych. Appreciate the response. Although I am surprised that my name appears in the RCMP database. I dont have any records of any kind in any of the countries that I ahve been to including my home country. Maybe its my first name or my father's name perhaps? Thank you once again.

dont be surprised, just relax...you are on track..just follow the instructions...You are not the only one in this world with your name... So to distinguish you from others (with same name for whom CIC has some doubts), they are asking for your finger prints. cheers!

Hi everyone,

I have been looking for info on how to do a landing. I was thinking Peace bridge at Fort Erie since I don't have a U.S visa and don't have time to get one.
what can I expect and what documents should I take. I did a CEC - student PR.

Thanks!

Congratulations on your COPR visa. As to your questions:
1. You do not need to update CIC about the common law partnership any longer as your PR application process is complete. Just go ahead and do your landing.
2. CEC applicants do not require to show proof of funds. However, it is advisable to have your proof of address/studies handy if this will be requested.

Good luck!

Thank you for the response!

Same here, they received mine on the 24th. Hoping to get it back next week or so, we're anxious to get this process completed. :)

This tells me that they do perform tasks as batches, and they probably wait until they have a box full of outgoing mail before they send someone to the post office to mail them out :P

At any rate, here's to all of us getting our tracking numbers activated soon. I keep checking mine several times a day, I must confess. 8)

I PPRed on May 07, they received my passport on May 09, haven't got it back yet as of now.

some people PPRed on May 04 or 07, received PP back on May 22

so the "batch" assumption sounds reasonable...I was only one day behind...

or maybe the CIC mailing address makes a difference: PO Box vs Courier, I sent to Courier address

They received my PP on April 30th via the non-courier address. Seems there are a few people with their passports queuing up at CPP-O. I urgently need mine to travel and hope to have it back soonest.

You keep posting (aka spamming) these "2nd letter" questions every few days without answering the questions of people who are trying to help you. For the last time, there is no such thing as second confirmation letter, if you got the confirmation of permanent residence you just need to go and complete your landing.

Well, I also reply to those who wanted to help me. But I just updated my status right now. Sorry if I annoyed you.

By the way, what are you trying to say? we shall e-mail the CIC Manila about the letter of COPR that was received by the one in Canada so the family members will already get their passport with visa? then buy an airfare ticket afterwards?

It seems like you are applying under a different stream (not Canada Experience Class), so people in this forum cannot really understand and answer your questions. Asking in an appropriate forum and you'll find better answers.
