Its better we apply once every two weeks. In bad situations every week. I am applying every two weeks.

If you are going to apply for GCMS every 1/2 weeks the only thing you will achieve is that the rules for GCMS will be changed, allowing GCMS request every 90 days or so. I would suggest all those who bomb CIC with frequent GCMS requests to hold their horses and act in responsible matter. This is an important tool for applicants and lawyers to have insight into internal handling of CIC, do not abuse it.

Hi Sashali,

Does applying for GCMS notes, will have any impact on existing application processing timelines or outcome.

I dont understand why can't they just post all that detailed info on ecas!
its meant to be for knowing the application status. CIC doesn't make the full use of it and hence they have over loaded GCMS requests..!

No, it shouldn't have any impact. Except if you really made the officers angry by requesting one every week ;)

I think you are taking too much as GRANTED. Try to apply for green card in US, wait for 5-7 years for the processing and try to get any info from US immigration system and you'll know the difference. The system isn't perfect and not the most friendly, but comparing the other immigration systems around the world it certainly not that bad.

My status has said decision made for about ten days now, still no PPR yet, waiting waiting waiting sigh

Are you from a visa exempt country? If not, you should hear something soon...I got PPR 9 days after DM.

Hi guys, Just received a letter from CIC requesting for the RCMP fingure prints. Is this a regualr and normal procedure? I mean does everyone who has applied has to do this? How close do you think I am and another thing is, they have only asked my fingure prints not my wife's who is prinicipal applicant. any thoughts on this guys. Thanks.

This is normal, nothing to worry about. Just send them RCMP finger prints. They do request them, only if your name is associated with a crime in RCMP database, and in that case to clear you of it, they need your fingerprints. Don't worry. Not everyone has to do it, only those who's name generates a trace in RCMP records.

Oh thank you Sherych. Appreciate the response. Although I am surprised that my name appears in the RCMP database. I dont have any records of any kind in any of the countries that I ahve been to including my home country. Maybe its my first name or my father's name perhaps? Thank you once again.
