Hi ALL

I quite confused about CIO email issues , I have sent them today a mail query about my application status , and after one minute an automatic reply come with they will not reply to this mail if my application has been sent within last 6 weeks , and as you may know most of us already passed over two month now , is that mean i ignore this automatic reply and just wait till they answer ? and if yes what is the current average days it took for a reply ?

yes gabry.. ignore auto reply - most of them who emailed, got a reply in 10-11 days, i think...

Just ignore the automated reply. And other members of this forum received reply in 10-13 days. but they say usually it takes upto 20days. so you may receive reply after 10 days on average.

hi i just now called cio. My 1122 app reached cio on 3rd august and was rcvd by mr krswz. I was told by the agent that they r currently opening the applcs rcvd on 4th july. It was to my utmost surprise and told me to wait for atleast one and half month and we will contact you. I really wonder how can they reach the cap without even assessing the files or may be they have assessed all 500 applications rcvd till 22nd aug and now start charging the payments now.

Today we got a reply from CIC about the status of our application. The email said that our submission was received and is awaiting initial processing. The email was sent early in the morning. However, already in the afternoon we checked our bank information again and saw that our CC available credit changed by 1100 CAD.
We sent our documents on July 15th by Canadapost.
Application received by CIC on July 18th.
Noc 0631
Date CC was charged September 13.

Please, add our information to the spreadsheet. Now we are praying for PER!

1. You should be primary applicant.
2. Your enquiry date ( date on which you will send an email) should be more than 6 weeks from the application receipt date.
3. Subject other than the "status of Application file" will not get reply from this id.

It is advisable to follow these instructions before sending an enquiry. Including above 3 conditions , if you send too many enquiries at that id, they will not respond to you (Hidden condition).

Response period is 10-20 days.
