i filed my application on the 20th of august 2011. i have a query n wud appreciate if someone can answer it for me.
as proof of relationship i submitted the copies of marriage certificate of my mother and my maternal uncle.
i submitted the high school certificate for both persons which shows the name of their father.
i submitted the university degree for both persons which again shows the name of their father.
i submitted the copy of credit card invoice n one utility bill of my uncle which shows his name n address.
my question is if these documents are enuff or birth certificates are mandatory.

as per the book the b certificate is necessary but it depends on the officer he can overlook this doc if he is convinced with rest of the support docs. In ur case i think u shud not have any problems but again as i said it varies from officer to officer

read #13 of this link for proof or relationship documents required by CIC, hope this helps

from the timeline of applicants whose DD or CC is encashed it is obvious that encashment takes 40 to 45 from the day ur application is received. so it wud b logical to watch out for the CAP status after 45 days ur application is received. if the NOC is still not filled by that time there is a very good chance that u will make the cut.

Not sure about that part of charging after 45 days as if it was after 45 days then the CIC should have been charging cases on July end like 28/29 but I think I read they are charging Mid July like 13-15 that makes it about 60 days.

Agree! Now cic is charging the applications received on 18 July, which also shows that there is low possibility of post 8 July cases falling within the cap for 1122. Poor us, we should waiting for next year's quota

Dear admins,
If possible please sort the spreadsheet by column "Application sent".
Thanks.

Well the documents he has provided will only show the name of their father. It is very possible for two people sharing the same surname to have a father with the same name, without being related.

I think CIC will need to see something with more details about the parent (date and/or place of birth etc) to verify that this is the same person.

But also the OP did not state if they had include their uncle's Canadian passport copy or Permanent Resident card copy to prove their uncle's status in Canada, and that will also be necessary.

Wayne.
