- 2nd ghost update: 27 April Profile homepage said "Application/Profile Updated" and Review of Additional Documents changed from 'We are reviewing the additional documents you provided' to 'Not Applicable'. No email.
Is the 2nd GU because you had submitted some documentation?
I received 1st GU on 04/22- "Application/Profile Updated" and status changed back to "Submitted". No e-mail.

Sent the first webform on 12th April.
April 16th I received a response to my Webform:
- The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied, you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
- The security background verification has not been initiated.
- The criminal background verification is in process.
- Ghost update: 23 April (Profile homepage said "Application/Profile Updated" but no changes, and the application went back to "Submitted". No email.
- 2nd ghost update: 27 April Profile homepage said "Application/Profile Updated" and Review of Additional Documents changed from 'We are reviewing the additional documents you provided' to 'Not Applicable'. No email.
2nd Webform (never got a response for changing my address in January) sent in 1 May 2020.
6 May 2020 response:
- Eligibility met.
- Security valid.
- Criminality valid.
My application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
Mine is Aor Jan 02. Just wanted to understand what 2nd ghost update was for.

Yeah it's different for each applicant, mine is related to my late payment of RPRF since I didn't paid it once I applied to receive my AOR.

Only explains where the visa office is. If you would like to receive specific information about your application, you need to ask very specific questions: "I would like to know what is the current state of my eligibility? How about what is the progress of verifying my security and criminality?" This will give you more information.
My webform received April 22 said:
Eligibility: passed
Background: valid
Security: Not started
I called and spoke with an agent today and was told the same thing- at least the webform and agent are giving me the same update.
I asked about my BOWP but he said it just says "processing" and all the required docs are received for it.
