Congratulations! I am so worried coz I still have not heard anything since my medical back in July. I pray that I'll get my pre-arrivals soon!

Hey everyone! I officially landed TODAY!! Woohoo!!

Although there was a wee glitch. The agent asked me what my delivery address for my PR card was AFTER she hit "okay", and it was not the correct address. It was my American address and not my Canadian address. She said she couldn't go in and change it because she already hit "okay" and I would have to contact CIC Monday morning to get that changed ASAP before they send my card out. EEEEP!

Has anyone come across this issue? What is the best number to call? Is this something I can just update on CIC's web form? Frustrating, but also VERY EXCITED to be a permanent resident FINALLY!! Any guidance would be great!

Sit tight and wait. I ordered GCMS juky 11th and still nothing. Maybe your VO will provide them sooner

Called CIC. After about twenty attempts (I wasn't really sure what number to push to get through to an agent for my particular issue) so I just randomly pushed numbers until I got on a wait list, my address has been changed and updated. YAY! They really need to figure out a better way to fix issues IMO.

We still haven't received the file transfer email after more than 7 months! (Jan applicant, medical and biometrics were done before mid April).
Anyone else one the same stressful boat?!

I'm the same. Did medical and biometrics in March and got sponsor approval and haven't heard anything since. It is really strange that after almost 8 months....my file hasn't been transferred and no one can tell me why. It just says they are reviewing the eligibility of the PA and are doing the background check. They can't even tell me where my file is being transferred to. I called and one said Mexico....the other told me Bogota.

Just wait and u will get transfer, it’s almost 8 months for you. In September it will be transferred. Mine is November 7, and transferred on July 4. Some of November got later transfer dates. Don’t stress, all will come!

Just wait and u will get transfer, it’s almost 8 months for you. In September it will be transferred. Mine is November 7, and transferred on July 4. Some of November got later transfer dates. Don’t stress, all will come!

Or you could always apply for GCMS Notes although they seem to be taking over a month to receive from the latest comments. At least you would receive info on what the hold up was with your file.

I think the information they provide at the call centre is sometimes completely irrelevant! First off they could not comment on why it has taken more than 7 months for the file transfer at all! then they told us that our file will be transferred to London, but knowing the nationality of my spouse, this is almost impossible! almost no one ever gets transferred to London (instead of Ankara which is our local visa office!).

I thought same as well, I am Ukrainian and nothing in common with London, still file finishes up at London. And just after one months of my file being there I received pre arrival. Probably they work now differently, and more work done in Sydney. Try to be more optimistic in this long wait))) it’s 12 months approximately....

Thanks, I really hope our file is also being worked on before the file transfer. By the way, may I ask how long it took you to receive the file transfer?
