Open this link and provided client id and other details. you should be able to see your details as your mo has been encashed

You can even some time get ur file number from the money order encash receipt. You can ask this to bank. on the back of receipt you can see the number ...

okay, so once I see that number on back of money order receipt means I am safe, right? Since it said they will create file number only if file is completed. It just takes time for them to put it online and send mails. Let me know if I am right or not. Thanks.

I'm just wondering how do you check for your file on CIC website? client Id is the same id that's on the work permit? If I still haven't received my AOR letter yet, can I check the states of my file on CIC website? Any information would be appreciated! Thank you!

Yeah, you can check it on CIC website. Input your Client ID as xxxx-xxxx then your surname, BOD and nationality. So far, still nothing for me, but I found they already cashed out my money order. When did you send yours?

Yes, you CAN check, and it may/may not indicate that you have applied for permanent residence. But don't be worried if there is no further information there. E-cas takes a while to be updated by the visa offices, and in any case may be incorrect...

Well, my boyfriend hired a lawyer to do his application. They said that they handed in on June 18, 2011. But so far I still haven't heard anything yet. Sort of getting inpatient.

If they haven't open a file yet then I won't be able to check the states of the application on CIC website, right? Does the Client ID on the work permit include the Exxxxxxxx? or different number?

With the Clietn-ID I have in my work permit, I am unable to see any status in ECAS. One thing is I did not mentioned this Client-Id in my PR application ? Is it must ?

If you submitted a photocopy of your work permit (that is a must), then they already have your Client ID.

My application under CEC was received by Buffalo consulate on 14-SEP-2011 and today morning (27-SEP-2011) I got a similar email (as posted by Topic initiator at the top) telling the Applicaiton No.

Anyone knows what to expect from here on? Does this mean that my application was ok and complete and the processing begins following this?
