I did apply for investor category to Quebec and my file has been processed in Amman since June 7th 2010
with no answer or any clue on when this process is over
my interview was in Montreal on 14th of Feb 2010
my file was transferred to Amman on 2 Feb 2012
and till now no answer in spite the serious trouble we live in Syria ....
anybody tell me what should i do ??

Tomas, our dates are only a few months apart. Our interview was in Montreal in November 09, and we received our CSQ in January, and they started processing our file on March 24th 2010. I checked our file status online and it said "file transferred to Beirut on Feb 22nd 2012, the Beirut embassy might call you." I do not know what to say - this is incredibly frustrating. Our friends who had applied in the same category only 3 months before us got their PR 14 months ago, and here we are, still waiting. I suppose patience is the only key, although I am starting to run out of it .

Really it's too frustrating.. In this period of time a lots of things can be changed.....

I applied in September 2010, in last category where net worth should be CAD$ 800000.00, my document acceptance received in December 2010,
In August 2012, I receive letter for submit updated documents, and send all updated information in September 2012,
January 2013 I receive letter from QIIP that “my application is in waiting for selection interview”, my interview is on 13th May 2013,

@sarabi : Good to know you have got an interview date for 13th May.

Well i gave my interview on 19th Nov 2012.so can share some important points with you.

Some important docs which you need to take along for the interview are ;

* Recent bank statements which clearly shows your net worth (try if the bank manager can give you a certificate with bank stamp and signature to prove the authenticity of your bank accounts).

* Reference letter from your business owner which proves your experience and management skills and your basic duties (if you are the owner than just show the invoices to prove your business is running)

* Financial statments of past 5 years of your business.

* Take all orignal business liecenses with you no matter in which language they are.

* If possible than take along some photos of your business setup.

* Be confident and reply to all questions asked by visa officer.

* Only provide those doc's which the visa officer asks for,donot try to be over smart and show the doc's which he/she doesnot request for as the visa officers doesnt like it.

* Take all your educational qualification transcripts / certificate (orignal).

* You might even be asked some questions about Canada and the reason why you want to move to Canada.

Well if you do your home work on above mentioned points than for sure you will have a good interview.

@sarabi: I am praying from my Herat to almighty for your interview. Try to keep an certificate from bank proving that you are the signatory of your account, which can also prove that you are the authorize to sign all your business deal.

In my interview I was asked that and by the grace of almighty I could prove it.

Any one got any news about federal investor programme , I applied in 2008 and submitted my documents in 2013 ,but till now I didnt get any response from London office . I didn't receive any termination letter , I wrote them so many times but they didnt reply me ?

Please help me with my application.

Due to Bill C-31, Federal Immigrant Investor Program was terminated by government of Canada. If 'selection' decision was not made before February 11, 2014, your application is deemed terminated. CIC will either contact you, or your representative, if you have one. To get your money back, you need to contact CIC. If you want to get a reply, you need to use London Visa Office - Case Specific Enquiry form. This will make sure you get a timely response. The following link also have guide to how you will get your money back.

I'm really sorry that you have to go through this, but credit goes to Conservative Government. They came up with this... and even though it's unfair, they are within their rights to use this way.

Hello Nabil,

See I gave you a response and without even reading it properly, you complained that no one read it correctly.

The thing you are not realizing is that the point of waiting for any letter of such sort becomes meaningless when the entire program is scrapped. It doesn't matter if they have sent you a letter or not .... when it's clearly posted on their official website.

Regarding the issue of CIC not replying, the only thing you can do is ask CIC using that same email you were receiving their communications on.... o use Case Specific Enquiry. CIC would generally respond if you use the same email address which is in their system. If you have an agent in between, he may have to ask them using his email address.

Secondly, you can post letter to your embassy (via registered/trackable post) and should expect a response.

CIAPS/GCMS is handled by Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) department. If you applied directly, expect it to get in a month. If you used 3rd party firms, expect it in around 3 months.

As i know my Investor application has been terminated , i applied in 2008 and submitted the required documents in 2013 .

But my lawyer told me don't apply for fee return as we will fight for your case and submit the complain on your behalf .

Please suggest me what shell i do now ? any change if i made complain .....

I am no expert here but I guess the chance of winning the fight for your case is pretty slim. Thousands of Chinese were doing the same in 2014 but getting no where so far.
