Thanks to lurking through our inland threads I have come to notice and conclude that we actually receive AIP anywhere from 4-7 days before actually signing on and seeing the update on ECAS. This might not be true for all cases but from the ones I have read I have noticed this. Thought you all would be interested in finding out. Also people seem to be receiving notice of AIP just a tad bit short of 9 months so that is encouraging at least to me anyway.

I received a temporary Green Card threw marriage Jul 96 in NY, US. My xwife, 4 step boys and I lived together for 5 yrs ( 92 - 97 ) first 3 of those yrs we weren't married. I was refused Permanent status and ordered to leave the US Sep2006.
I came over to Canada were my family lives and I am here ever since.
On Thanks Given 2007 I met my present wife. We moved in together Dec1 2007.
We got married Nov29 2008.
My wife filed sponsorship papers that were received by CIC Nov19 2009.
Papers were in process Feb1 2010 and transfered to Etobicoke.
Etobicoke received papers Jul15 2010.
I have a client# but have not received, to date Jan1 2011, a letter
Any 1 has a case that could compare to mine??
Any 1 has any idea how long this process will take??
Any 1 with info / xperience about this type of interviews??
Could deportation from the US hurt me??
Could the fact that I got my Green Card threw marriage hurt me??
If I am working could that hurt me?? will they find out I am working??
I have 4 children, 2 Jamaican born adults and 2 US born under age, did not file for them will this have an effect on my case??
Thanks in advance

Random question for my Inlanders....I was looking at the CIC website today (which made me a bit sad because they slowed down after they zipped through holiday season and are processing at about 9 months). Does anyone have any idea, on average because I know every case is different, how long it takes after AIP to land?

I am currently a student and would love to pay the same fees as a resident instead of international fees so I am just trying to figure out about how long it will take after AIP (the initial 9 months) to land. This is all making the assumption that everything goes to plan which is totally out of our control Roll Eyes. I can't believe I am almost half way through the initial waiting period.

Thanks,
Teri

So....I got my husbands FOSS notes today and like everyone else It was kinda pointless. I just found out that the only thing outstanding since We received AIP in Sept 10 2010 is the RCMP checks.there was a "short BF date of 10 OCT 2010" and still nothing. no new BF date nothing.....Anyone know who I can talk to to get this file looked at again. This is depressing. Someone should be checking if this RCMP thing is ok now? with no new BF date how will they know to look at it again?

Ive been waiting 4 Months since AIP and nothing is your answer hun.....Sorry

Oh Happy New year everyone. I see no one has posted in a while so I guess that means no news for anyone.

[size=10pt]how my!! these lawyers R very stupid its unbelievable!!!
I had a disorderly conduct on my FBI record I got the conviction certificate gave it to the lawyer. He thought that wasn't enough, okay understandable, he wanted to speak to the lawyer who handled the case in NY, okay understandable, he spoke to her she told him she could not help him because the case was about nothing, okay then!!
would U believe this Barrister at Law told CIC that I was Criminally Inadmissible to Canada so they should consider Humanitarian Grounds and didn't even told me that he did.
Now, he had to retract because I could not be found Criminally Inadmissible since my conviction of disorderly conduct, is a low level Misdemeanor, section 240.40 of the NY state penal code which is the equivalent of section 173-179 of the Canadian penal code. If I had committed said offences in Canada I would have been prosecuted with a summary conviction which is the equivalent to USA Misdemeanor.
In Article 36 of the Immigration and Refugee Act, states that any and all offences of summary conviction are NOT/NOT Criminally Inadmissible to Canada
So Y would my Attorney tell CIC that I was Criminally Inadmissible To Canada shouldn't it be CIC telling him that I was Criminally Inadmissible and then he would defend me by producing evidence that I wasn't???
Brothers and Sisters keep our eyes open be vigilant all the dam time ppl in Government does not share the same understanding has us in the real world. we R just a piece of paper and they R workers of TIRED, very slow, like lounge slow and they think they R working so hard if U ask them!! control your Attorney they work for U

Hi
Everybody (very special Love_young),
Exact after 7 months I got one update letter from Immigration today dated 10th January 2011 since I sent my application on 16th June 2010. It's call "Client History Update Form" which includes my employment in canada if any, address history, organization I belong to, post secondary education, parents etc.

Do I have to give all information to them or only whatever they ask to me in particular specific time about employment, address & school??!!

Any suggestions from you guys.....................thanks....................best of luck for your applications
