I just want to confirm that a decision made letter being mailed out is good? We didn't receive a request for additional docs, and also never received an SA/AIP update. Thanks!

I called them several times, they were saying that 26 months were the normal processing time. I don't know what else to do. I'm stuck

Try contacting your local member of parliament. He/she can make the process faster when the normal processing time is passed. At this time, you should already have SA and AIP.

Thanks for advice. Is it better if I contact MP or my husband? (he is a sponsor)

The constituent should (that's him until you have PR).

So I must be the worst Google searcher ever ha ha. I can only find the online submit function to submit a question. I cannot find a phone number for Case Specific Enquiry. Is the web form better than calling?? It's a pretty urgent matter.

CSE: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

Call Centre: 888-242-2100

The call centre cannot really do much. At least the CSE would be routed to an officer if the rep who answers the CSE cannot do anything with it.

Thank you so much, Profiler! I really appreciate your help!

I was getting so excited after hearing they wanted a medical check for him, thinking we were getting close to landing, but now I feel totally defeated. Staying positive though! Thanks again!

The end is near. If they have asked for meds, then the end is near. Try not to fret about it.

WEDNESDAY 10:30 AM EST - TUNE IN ON FACEBOOK!

"I hope you can join me on Wednesday for an announcement on Family Reunification." John McCallum
"Join Minister McCallum LIVE on Facebook. An announcement on family reunification will be broadcast at 10:30 am EST, December 7. Facebook.com/CitCanda"
https://www.facebook.com/CitCanada/videos/1481421655205259/

Assuming this is an update since the 2 month study on Family Reunification has now concluded (CIMM meetings that started in October)

It is probably better that the sponsor initiates contact with the MP, but if you go to meet the MP, the best will be to be both present.

A glimmer of hope to consider: Most applications do not take 26 months--a very small percentage is even over 20 months. They are currently landing June 2015 applicants--along with others. You could very well hear some news soon. I'd call back and get an opinion of another agent. You may not even get a decision made letter. Often they skip that and an email arrives with your landing appointment. Given that you got SA/AIP recently and no other requests....you should be landing very soon.

So I called CIC again to get the opinion of a second agent. This time, they told me that I am only halfway there with having SA/AIP (did not tell me my medical and background are passed like the first agent). And when I explained to her that I have tried EVERYTHING to link my application and it still won't work, she said then the problem is on their end. Wonderful. :'(

Quick question... our DM letter was sent Nov 23rd but haven't received that yet. Does it norm take that long?
