Should I be able to see the open work application on ECAS...the online status site? I can see my application was received as well as medical.....was anyone able to see the status of owp application?

Hi, same question for me...

I received an AOR the 29th of March for my P.R. application.
My wife received an AOR for her sponsorship application yesterday.

In ECAS we can see that the sponsorship application is now "in process" whatever that means for CIC
However there is no way to track the OWP status as far as I can tell.

Does anybody have some good suggestions about how to track this if at all possible?

You are the sponsor, correct?

Well...it's only been 9 days since you sent the Inland application and 7 days for the OWP. LOL!
Did you at least track the delivery so that you know if/when CIC received the application (please say yes)?

You'll probably hear nothing at all before the OWP arrives in the mail in about 4 months (unless you receive AOR between now and then, which is possible).

It's VERY important that your husband maintain his legal status, since you did NOT include the OWP with the Inland application. If his status expires before the OWP is processed, it could be denied because he will be out of status. Hopefully he has status for at least 4 more months...right?

I thought it didn't matter when his status expired after he submitted the application because he will then be on implied status, no?

we also received the AOR for the sponsor with the UCI number. so i guess e can check the status on ecas now. thank you Lord. . praying to getthe open work permit soon

Hey all, you know on the generic application form it has the part that ask about dependents and the u can click to clear that part I cleared it so the question was no longer on the form....do you think that's ok or should I just put NA.

It does matter, because unless an OWP is included with the Inland application, he will not have implied status.

The Inland application alone does NOT give him implied status; it is the OWP (or Study Permit) application that does.

Hello, if you are applying for the OWP just leave it blank even if you are currently working

i think that's correct if you do not have dependents

AOR 3.29
4.1 paid missing application fees (together with the updated application, file number, explanation letter)
5.6 2 year work permit issued

Congrats!!! For clarification...thats the 11th of March? Wow. Thats good. Mine was received March 3...trust I will soon receive it.
