how are you guys doing for summer...

so okay, here's my update:

my ecas shows:

We received your application for permanent residence on September 15, 2010.

We started processing your application on November 03, 2010.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted. A letter was sent on June 20, 2011 about the decision. Please expect delays before contacting us..

So i got my letter last Friday, July 8, 2011
And It says there i was approved for AIP, and i am eligible for OWP.

However, they said I still need to have medical examination by DMP.

When I checked my receipt, it is supposed to be valid still because I did mine last August 26, 2010. It is not one year. I called CIC and they said I have to ask the DMP when they send my result and they said they sent it SEpt 7, 2010.

So, I was wondering if I still need to redo my medical because I don't want any delay on my paper. I thought weverything is okay now..


I went to the DMP who did my medical, and they said I have to call them again to inform that they sent it already and should investigate.

WHat they said, they will refax it again the result and I will call the CIC.

I know.. that's why i keep on calling CIC and they said just wait for the mail.. and they even said If I dont get it by July 25, 2011 then I call them again..

And now I just figured it out that my medical was not received by them.. .. sigh ^.^

good morning just got my open work permit today they just sent last tuesday,..
my question is if ur approved for the 1st stage u will get a letter too stating that my husband and i were approved
i know some of u got 3 kinds of letters in seperate envelop if im not mistaken when they approved on the 1st stage....why mine i got only owp just wondering?

sorry for a dumb question, but it means that it's over right? i mean, i don't need to submit anymore follow up requirements? i just have to wait for the letters to come?

i was informed by CIC that scheduling a landing date in vancouver takes about 3 mos! gosh so long! so around october then? oh my...

I know that's the only missing in my file according to them. So my DMP refax my medical already.
And then, I called CIC just now, not a good conversation because she didn't even ask my client ID for security, who am I etc.. she just said.. oh well it's getting expire now in 6 weeks so you need to redo your medical.. so i am so confuse now..

do i have to redo my medical again?

Yes it is good because I got my first approval already. But instead of getting both stages approved, i didn't get it because according to them I need to do my medical again because they didn't receive my medical yet. BUt I did it last August 26, 2010 and supposed to be valid still. I think Il just redo it, i don't to waste any time for my application

wow! 6 weeks is still a lot of time! they can approve an application after giving an AIP in just 2 days! so 6 weeks is way more than what they need that is frustrating.. how can the call ctr say that? its another $100 for medical! oh well... hang in there.. just redo your medical and ask them to send it asap!

My first medicine will expire on October 7th, 2011. So it is valid just for several next months.
One month ago we called to the Call Centre and asked the agent if I have to redo my medical again.

And the agent answered that CIC will notify me if I have to do that again.
And until I get this notification, I should not do an additional medicine again.

So if they ask you for new medical results, I think you have to get it again.

CONGRATULATIONS! You are approved for both stages. You just have to wait to be contacted by your local office for a landing date.
Time to go out and celebrate!

One month ago we called to the Call Centre and asked the agent if I have to redo my medical again.

And the agent answered that CIC will notify me if I have to do that again.
And until I get this notification, I should not do an additional medicine again.

So if they ask you for new medical results, I think you have to get it again.

Thanks a lot fleurette.. now I called the DMP to book again for my medical.. and they give me July 25, 2011 to redo it.. OMG that's too far! Do i have to book to other DMP, this is stressing me right now
