Thanks for being sweet enough to reply before I could. angtao, I was going to do it today but I am very very sick today, can't even really type this. I got horrible sunburn basically on my whole upper body which is swelling and blistering. I really wanted to update it but I promise once I can actually move my hands/arms without it hurting, I will ASAP.

nope i havent received any mails yet but i was informed that they've mailed my AIP letter and OWP 2 days ago (july 6). should get it next week then... i hope!

Québec processed our taxes! But what idiots work there? We've sent our packages of paperwork together, claimed that we got married, applied for solidarity tax credit because we got married, on the application it says: "Information used to calculate the payments to which you are entitled: You do not have a spouse (+some other reasons)".

Since when do I not have a spouse!?

Is it taking longer than usual because it's already past 8 weeks.(The officer told us it takes about 8 weeks)

My PR application was received October 10 and the process started November 14 2010.

No news yet. Based on timelines posted on the immigrations site, i am hopefully due an answer on August. But since I havent heard form them since. Can I assume everything is fine? I havent received any word that my husband has been approved for sponsorship nor if they need additional information or proof from us? Is this normal? If all goes well, my approval may come on August, but i wanted to make sure everything is all right? any thoughts?

@ AE0626: My application was received on Sept 30th and I have the same status; There was no further update or request like you. Unless they need any additional documents, they wouldn't contact you, so don't worry ;-)

We started processing your application on November 15, 2010.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.
but there is no medical has been received. so am i refused??????????????

@ abc3896: I think you'd better call CIC to be sure if they have received your medical result or not. Please don't worry yourself. CIC Call center number is 1-888-242-2100 (Mon-Fri), press 1 (English) > 2 (application status) > 2 (sponsorship) > 00000000(client ID) > 1 (correct) > 0000(year of birth) > 1 (correct).
You can tell the agent that you sent family sponsorship application last year inside Canada and you'd like to confirm if they have received your medical result, since you don't see it on your online status and you worry about it.
They will ask your name, client ID, date of birth, address, phone number to verify you, and they will help you to find out what's going on.
I hope this is not the case, but if they haven't received it, then ask them what you should do in your situation.

i had to call them... i have an idea more or less when they'll process mine. they told me i got approved for AIP but until now there's no change in my eCAS yet... when did you submit your application? you can try calling them but it takes a long wait! sometimes they don't even put you on hold so you have to call again. i called around 3pm and got lucky.

Sorry to hear this LY, if you need a homemade recipe to treat it I always use white vinegar and it stops me from burning/peeling too.

hi i phoned them last friday accrding to them they sent the letter last tuesday so im hoping this week we get the letter, there's no pr yet just only aip n open work open permit they still doing background check..

Hi everybody!

I hope you had a great weekend. I have to wait at least 1.5 months to hear something from CIC. To be honest I am tired and I am worry that I won't get my papers on time. I have a job that start at the end of Sept and I really need to work. I hope CIC don't slow down.
I hope to hear good news this week from others.

how are you guys doing for summer...

so okay, here's my update:

my ecas shows:

We received your application for permanent residence on September 15, 2010.

We started processing your application on November 03, 2010.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted. A letter was sent on June 20, 2011 about the decision. Please expect delays before contacting us..

..

So i got my letter last Friday, July 8, 2011
And It says there i was approved for AIP, and i am eligible for OWP.

However, they said I still need to have medical examination by DMP.

When I checked my receipt, it is supposed to be valid still because I did mine last August 26, 2010. It is not one year. I called CIC and they said I have to ask the DMP when they send my result and they said they sent it SEpt 7, 2010.

So, I was wondering if I still need to redo my medical because I don't want any delay on my paper. I thought weverything is okay now..


I went to the DMP who did my medical, and they said I have to call them again to inform that they sent it already and should investigate.

WHat they said, they will refax it again the result and I will call the CIC.
