thank's nonoo,dont think about it sure you will have your AIP and DM as well as the processing time now is only 9 months for 1st stage.Try to call them again...

Thanks Yangnski, I have been calling them since morning but not getting any luck, each time it says all lines are busy. I think because we submitted additional information for the birth of my baby in March 2012 so that may contributes the delay in my case or maybe that’s just an assumption.

I'm in yours and lab's situation too

I applied in September 2011 and in July 2012 I got a letter from CIC requiring further evidence of my common-in-law relationship.
I called CIC 2 days ago and the agent told me that my medicals appear in the system but he didn't have any dates regarding when my application will be reopened and he added he could see my application was in queue.

My case is pretty simple: no kids, no previous marriages, no criminal offences/records, no health issues.

It's so frustrating especially now that it seems CIC is processing application way faster. Sometimes I wonder if CIC didn't totally forgot of us

Actually i called CIC again yesterday, and some story. Btw, i told the call center that i learned that someone sent the additional files later than mine, and got the first step result in 6 weeks. Then the agent asked me to write a letter to cic office to show my confuse.
So i will send another inquire letter this Friday to show my worry.
I hope that CIC office could notice that more and more our same situation applicants worry that now, and so that change their way a little bit.

Let's keep update each other, cheer up. dont let it influnce our mood too much, it is not fair to our partner in daily life.

Btw, a lot people said the cic update the status on friday, even in weekend. So keep check it after Weds too.

i started my new job today!!! ;D , i applied on this job before aip and my employer gave me an lmo, but i got refused cause i applied in canada and should be outside canada cause i had a visitors record before aip, then when i got aip and an owp i reapply again and they hire me, so lucky me i guess LOL things are great with me and good luck to u on job hunting hatrang!!!

Hey Yangski, I got approved for first stage . the agent just informed me that they have sent the letter to our lawyer on 18th .
I am soooooo happy ;D

Just receive my Open Work Permit yesterday. Interestingly, it only valid for 6 months. I though CIC usually will issue 1 year OWP. I wonder if everyone also receive 6 months work permit? ;D

Have you received your AIP (stage 1)?

We have received OWP for 1 year and was requested after AIP. I never heard of 6 month OWP.

Mine is 6 months too,but I've got email from cic last tuesday for 2nd stage approval and just waiting for mail on landing date at Calgary VO but my ecas just change to medical receive not updated yet and hubby's ecas change to DM.Next is your 2nd stage approval.
