What doesn't help with stage 2 is that it involves a lot more parameters than stage 1 like the medical, background check, police record, security check and I bet that the country of origin and age of the applicant has a lot to do with some of these long period of waiting.

check your email...Coz i just receive my 2nd stage through email last tuesday and now my ecas change to DM.And vinlander is right its still a good news..

Hey Yangski, I just called my lawyer and he said hasn't received any letter so far. I know he must have ticked the option of "Mail" instead of an email in preferred mode of correspondence/communication . I just hope and pray that my second stage pass swiftly because I know else it takes too long.

It says they receive my pr application on oct 31 2011 and they started processing on sept 16 2012 and they received my medicals ..in my husbands it says that a decision as been made and a letter was sent on this decision ..ok what I want to know is if only one letter will be in the mail ? Only the sponsors letter? Cuz they Didn't mention that they were sending me no aip

Sponsor approval is AIP.

dont worry up to today my ecas has never been updated to say i got aip in june 14 it only say on my commonlaw spouse ecas i think it is the same thing with you

you guyz will not be-leave what just happened to me i got a missed call from goc-gdc no numer showed up i so want to kill me self right now for it

but on the other hand why are they call me i send in all documents and is waiting on stage 2 since june am scared mad and worried all at the same time :'( :'( :'(

Is this a good sign ?

but on the other hand why are they call me i send in all documents and is waiting on stage 2 since june am scared mad and worried all at the same time :'( :'( :'(

As a Government Service Office one would imagine they would not try to hide their number like an annoying telemarketting or probing company...

They received the information on May 10th, so yes its over 4 months

Yea, i will keep my status updated here too. I was required to offer additional info on May 28th, and it was received on 5th June there.
So i have to wait another month by our own accounting. haha
Now any of your news is our big news too.

I also received a call from CIC, and there was no number displayed.

I read a post before, sounds one week later, the applicant got result after CIC updated the ecas.
For sure, we will hear ur good news soon. I think ur all documts on the officer desk already.
And as Laura mentioned the experience before, you probably will get both steps finalized.
