Hi all! Does anyone know at what time in the early AM the line starts at BLS Brampton or Toronto or Mississauga for Walk-in?
I see stories from other forum about folks lining up at 4 AM or so previously.
Just wanted to see best time for doing a Walk-in, to get a token number/appointment that day, and see anyone experienced the same recently on weekday Vs weekend - any difference

Hi All, my SC application status on Indian passport website shows "Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate." I applied under Toronto jurisdiction, does anyone know how long is it taking these days to get the certificate printed?

Received at BLS - 1/20/2024
Under process BLS - 1/25/2024
In Transit from BLS Centre to Consulate General - 1/26/2024
Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate.1/31/2024
Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. 1/31/2024
Surrender certificate has been granted and is available for issuance. 2/1/2024
Surrender certificate has been printed. 2/5/2024
In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre 2/6/2024
Ready for Collection BLS 2/7/2024 ( Comments : Passport dispatched purolator tracking id XYZ)

@desmat would have latest timeline. Mostly by next week according to me.

It took 2-3 business days to change to next status of "granted and issued" and then another 1 business day to change to next status of "certificate is printed".
After that it took 3-4business days to reflect status change on BLS tracking and another 2 business days to receive delivery.

Or next update will be directly on bls website?

got labels through BLS to ship and to deliver back.. I thought many things to ship myself but then gave up as can't predict BLS as was sending original Indian passport.. If I would send only photocopies and no original thing, then i may think of customizing postal method to try something

no... as i said paid for labels from BLS for ship and delivery... means pickup and drop service which means both sides.. and got it by calling bls over phone.. we used postal option using those labels.

Got it thanks. How much did they charge for both shippings ? I did call them but again they were like we need to make the payment while we were on call. So i thought why not check online on how to purchase a shipping label via BLS but couldn't find any

$84 per application..
They used to have it in $60 online earlier but they stopped all online links

Tried SC In person on 12-Jan - Rejected Application BLS Mississauga, form as they wanted to have correct address (Present Residential Address) exactly as per Canada Photo ID (they check it including zip code, gap between zip code and what not). Also, the Emergency contact person address was missing (Just had name), so added the address with a new form filled out.

Decided to go by postal and tried courier then (Brampton):
Purolator Pick up - 1/15/2024
Delivered at BLS - 1/16/2024, subsequently, I called them twice as no progress was seen then - Received at BLS - 1/27/2024
Under process BLS - 1/29/2024
In Transit from BLS Centre to Consulate General - 1/29/2024
Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate.1/31/2024
Surrender certificate is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. 2/5/2024
Surrender certificate has been granted and is available for issuance. 2/6/2024
Surrender certificate has been printed. 2/7/2024
In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre 2/7/2024
Ready for Collection BLS 2/8/2024 (Comments : Passport dispatched Purolator tracking ID in comments)
Received 2/9/2024 AM. Passport has punch holes with Cancelled stamps and SC is stapled at back side.
