Immigration Medical Exam Costs in Virginia / USA

I am talking of Dr.Anne Rose Eapen, they are at town centre drive in reston, they have a biweekly schedule, so yes we were in the middle of their cycle so 22nd is when they are saying ours will be sent.

DO you know of a thread or other places which tracks medical to PPR request?

I want to know a timeline of how much time to the request.

Do you have to wait there for your results? I am not sure if they can quickly process my urine and blood to get results ready for Tuesday? Do you think so? It kinds of tricky to drive there tomorrow in such a hash weather.

Well you and me need not visit the DMP, they will send the results to CIC directly as per CIC rule. They will only call you if there is a problem. Their mailing schedule is bi-weekly.

When did you do your exam? Are you sure they have received your results and will send them Tuesday? How long does it take to get a result? Can they use Fedex to mail? Do you need to pay the shipping?

Yup, they send it every other tuesday. We did our exam on 11th December. We called again on Friday and they confirmed they had x-ray results. The x-ray results are done at a different place in Elden street and takes 1 week to come. I am not sure what they use to mail, I will be calling them on Wednesday to find if they sent ours. No you do not need to pay shipping.

On another note, $800 seems a lot but what convinced me was that they knew how to do this, they had all the forms and were doing diligently and have been responsive so far telling us we dont have any major ailments.

I have a profile on trackitt. Trackitt has a thread open on it but I cant seem to filter it to tell me how much time on average it takes from medical to ppr from NY office.

Hey,why do they give you a negative rate? I think you are good.
Actually, I am going to do it this afternoon,It kinds of scare of me because they are also doing female exam which I did not expect. Do you have any experience about it?

If you are only going to do it today, expect your reports to be sent in the new year. I would suggest that you ask them a date and follow with them if they have sent it. The doctor is well qualified so you should not worry, its good that they do tests thoroughly, any time is good to know how your health is.

This being a mandatory step we have to follow up through with it, it takes atleast 1 hour but time passes quickly as they do not make you wait for long.

The doctor advised me to return to active excercise routine and apart from that everything was fine, I wish they say the same for you , dont we all need to be active

I wish you get your PPR request too in the new year. I called them too and they have provided a tracking number, which I checked and the package has been delivered!!. I believe with all the holidays it should be sometime after the new year before the consulate processes it.

I just hope it does not take the 5 months as some others are saying.

Once they provide the tracking number please do check, it only took them 2 days to deliver as it was sent on a priority box.

By the way,did you send all requested documents? i.e. PCCs from states, FBI clearance? Do you know when are the expired?Did you send bank statements? How many months's? Bank certificate?

I was requested only FBI clearance but not states',I do not know why.

I only have two bank statements which have sufficient funds, I can wait for next months but it kinds of waste time and quite close to the 60 days requirement, I do not want to risk it.

We have been working with our consultants and they have been requesting documents at certain points of time. The PCC's were requested around October, getting all the documents together took us a lot of time and we sent those in November. The FBI clearance came in first then the state certs. and then finally our country PCC.

Frankly I have stopped worrying about expiry as we are in complete CIC mercy on this one.

We sent 3 months bank statements and a certificate just to be safe.

Our consultants advised against USD and that we should provide funds in CAD. we were under a lot of stress trying to organize the RPF fee as no one in the states does it unless we have a account with them. So we had the consultant arrange it.

For Receipts: Make a copy of the medical receipts and send all of them, they need proof of both medical as well as x-ray.

How did you get the bank certificate? I mean does any bank have this service? Is it a letter that states how much you have?

Did you convert the money to CAD? All I have is USD,do I need to exchange to CAD as proof of fund?

I am just worried too much now~
