Ugh. I'm still waiting on a response. I sent Stage Two on Feb 15 and haven't heard anything since then. My visitor visa expires on March 31 and i'm desperate for any news.

Does anyone have a number to call to check application progress?

You should get your LOI this week. Hang in there man!!

As far as I know the consulate of NY doesn't accept any calls and it's only an automated voice system.
It takes about 1 month to get the LOI from the date you submitted you CIC application.
Hang in there, once the 1 month mark is exceeded call CIC hotline and ask for details.

For me it has been over 1 month now.... submitted CIC on February 21st.

Minimum processing time for NY office is 30 days. If everythings ok with your application you should have your
LOI by the end of this week.

What number can I call? The regular main call center number can't be reached from the U.S. ....
I'm anticipating to start my job in Canada this upcoming Monday.... but no word... I emailed CIC hoping for some kind of a response.

The number in New York is just a voice system telling you that they cannot answer any questions regarding processing of visa applications.

ohhhh patience....

I got an email from the NYC office this morning after I emailed them via NewYork-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

It said: Your application is currently in queue and will be processed shortly.

Something at least...

Agreed Dan. The IEC 2013 mandate promised that all applications would be processed in 8 weeks, another unkept promise from the CIC. :(

Just got an email from MYCIC after a month of waiting.

I need to supply a police cert from Australia which is going to take another 2 weeks atleast.

And currently the site in which you apply for one is not working.

So if anyone spent 6 months or longer in another country you should apply now for the police cert so you don't have to wait longer.

When did you apply to CIC?

I've been following this forum for weeks and weeks now.
I submitted my CIC application on February 18th. I am in Canada, my previous work permit expired, and I am on a Visitors Record now, that expires on May 1st. Im just waiting..
So its been 38 days (not that I'm counting) since I submitted my CIC application. I'm REALLY hoping I receive my LOI this week. By my calculation, Im on the 8th week..
Checking my email every day, like everyone else, even started checking my CIC account since I see some people are receiving their Letters but not being notified by email.

I constantly check my email / this forum. It's been eight weeks total for me so far and my visitor visa expires this weekend. So irritated / stressed.
