I mean I already told them I am abroad , why are they still asking for an explanation ? what would be the explanation I could possibly give ? I left Canada because I was on vacation ?

They have a procedure. If they have a procedure, even if you think you already provided the info needed to be responsive to their procedure, never assume they're just going to input that info for you - that's not how their procedure works. Just respond to the procedure with whatever explanation is truthful.

the automated response I received before said there is no need to provide an explanation if you were abroad ,when you got an invitation to the oath ceremony, and all you have to do is to provide them with your boarding pass of your returning flight. they will reschedule you accordingly

Did you update IRCC before leaving for vacation?

Then if you think you know the answer, do that.
