Hi,
Please help me with calculating the language score for SINP.
My IELTS bands are L=7.5 R=6.5 W=7 S=6

Will my language score for SINP be 18 or 20??
It says CLB 8 or higher 20 points
CLB 7 18 Points

Hi, I am able to calculate individual clb score. When it comes to sinp its giving maximum points as only 20 for clb 8or more.
As per fsw ee I'll get 20 out of 24(6+5+5+4).
But how to calculate for sinp, can you please advise. I'll get qualified if I get 20 for language

I think what they mean is that they require your score to be CLB 8 for each module. And in your case, your score is not CLB 8 for Speaking... but the rest are fine.

Below is your converted(to CLB) score:-

CLB Listening: 8
CLB Reading: 8
CLB Writing: 9
CLB Speaking: 7

Hi everyone. I feel a little dumb, but can't figure this out.
My IELTS is:
Reading 6.5
The rest are 8
Overall - 7.5
I'm trying to register to a PNP program, and my options are: CBL 9, 8, 7, or below 7.

I have no clue how to look at the table on the CIC site.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
For EE your Reading Clb is 8 and you get 5points and the rest are CLB 9 AND 10 for which he you will get 3*6=18(so total is 23 points out of 24)
Coming to pnp's like SINP MINP PEI YOUR CLB is 8(your lowest clb is considered as your score)
Where as for nsnp and nbpnp you will get 5+6+6+6=23 Same as EE.
I suggest if you can try and get band 7 in reading then don't need to waste time and money on pnp's.
All the best.

Please use CRS calculator on cic website to know your scores...for last draw cut off was 470 and mostly for further draws its gonna be pretty much the same...Check CIC website for eligibility...About work experience, they only have the option for 3 or more years to choose , even if you have 20 years of exprnce, you get the same points as a 3 year experienced candidate...

Hello, I'm applying for Canada PR and I'm the Primary Applicant. I got my IELTS scores as below:
L: 7
R: 6.5
W: 5.5
S: 6.5

My Wife gave IELTS and she got her IELTS as below
L: 5
R: 4.5
W: 5
S: 6

My consultant told me I need 22 points to get my application qualify for Express entry to Canada.

With my wife IELTS exams I got 5 points, which means I'm still short of 17 points out of 22 points.

My question, with my scores above do I get eligible and get the remaining points or I have to retake my IELTS? If retake how much minimum i need to score in each module to get my remaining 17points for my PR application.

My consultant initially told me I need to get LRWS (7:6:6:6) now they are saying 6.5 minimum in all the modules. We are confused and need some expert guidance in this matter.

Thank you.
