How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

Dont know what the hell is going on. I got total 3 emails asking for my passport which i already sent on 30th april. and even emailed them confirming it.

My tracker got activated just now.. 10+ weeks for me. Thank God!!!

Tracker just got activated at 7:06 PM. It's strange, because I checked it on 7:40, and it was not yet active.

April 18 Ottawa received my passport, May 15 tracker got activated: 27 days. I hope they didn't activate it by mistake.

I hope all you guys got your passport back soon, and contact your MP. It did work.

Emails are close to useless. Your email will just get delivered to the same email address as everybody else that sends email to CPP-Ottawa, while MP has a specific contact within Ottawa (so his email will go directly to the contact's email address rather than

Try calling your local MP directly (through phone number), and follow up 3 days later (in my experience, when I followed up, they already had some response from Ottawa, but they did not get back to us immediately [they're too busy]). If you just email your local MP, then most likely they will get back to you in a week or two (you probably get back your PP by then already), so it's better to make a phone call directly to them. Unless, of course, you're not currently in Canada...

Can you share what your MP did for you ?

I did not ask the whereabout of my passport (since it's only been a month), but as I mentioned, I was worried that my unrelated items that I accidentally sent along with the package would delay the process, so I emailed CPP-O 3 times to tell them, and obviously, no reply. So I contacted my MP to help me, and he emailed his contact at Ottawa. I heard back a week later, saying that there was no problem, and that my passport was in queue for visa stamping (this was yesterday).

Thanks man i will call my MP tomm and see what he can do for me .. Though i filled a complaint and someone called me back telling my visa is printed and they are preparing landing paper ... it was almost 3 weeks ago .

I think MSB_Boparai got his visa printed February 26, but his landing paper was dated May 9. Try following it up with your local MP, and see what he has to say then. Good luck, and keep us updated.
