How long does it take CPP-O to stamp PR visas?

The office received my PP on Aug 26th, it has already been 25 days for me. I guess all we can do is to wait.

Mine too was received on the 26th of august and up to this moment have not heard back..but am hoping for the best soon...it just a small delay,won't fret at this time,I have come a long way to get to this stage.GOOD NEWS SOON!!!!!!!

Hey everybody waiting for their passporrts after Aug 23 until now. I am in the same boat as you

I emailed ottawa on Monday and had a standard reply saying that they are still waiting for my passport. They also wrote possibility my passport is still in mail or might have arrived at their office but hasnt been associated to my file.

After that I replied to that emalil with a screen shot of delivery and havent heard anything until today.

This afternoon I sent another email with details, screen shot, tracking number and telling them that its been three weeks.
Guess what again I received that same standard reply.

Dont know what to do other than wait. but what ll be the worse case scenerio. Because I have heard a guy living in Estevan SK that there are some people like us who have been waiting for 3 months already and on the other hand some got in 15 days.

hello everybody

I was going thru the old posts of this forum and found that the longest wait was 11 and a half weeks (almost 3 months). One guy's took 6 weeks and other one's took 1 month and few days. :-\

So, if anybody not getting his/her passport back in 20 days, that means they are unlucky and ll take long.

Dude don't panic! There are many of us who submitted their PPs since aug 23 on, and haven't received yet... It explains that they are struggling with some internal processing issues... Let them do their work...

The only situation that I think one should panic about is when you are the only one whose PP is not on time.... Fortunately this boat of misfortune has many residents on it

Yes, This forum will help us all keep in touch where we can share our anxeity, mind blocks etc...that is getting created due to this long wait for return of passports.

Anyways...today is exactly day 32 (week 5) for me after Ottawa CIC office has recieved my passports. Worried...worried and more worried...can't wait for 11-12 weeks....will be too much..also have a travel in October...so all the more tensed.

Let's hope something good happens this week to everyone !!

Hi Guys,

Just spoke to my consultant and they mentioned that I should not send multiple emails to the CIC asking about passport status because each time I send an email, that removes my file out of the current queue and then it is placed back again in the queue but at the end so that delays the processing of your file.

Not sure how true this could be but so far my expererience with my consultant has been good. They have been honest and truthful, So i am thinking this could be a reason why some of our files are delayed.(If we have sent multiple emails)

They told me to wait till this week since it normally takes about 3-4 weeks excluding shipping/postal time. Have requested them to see if they can followup and provide me an update.

Hey Fiso85 yeah bro...everytime I think to not to worry about this but then I forget and start worrying again as this actually ruined all my plans, excitement, , however. I am hoping good in this week for us.

Hey dadaum. yeahh sounds like a good idea to keep up the spread sheet but we are only few guys may be 5 or 6. We can just share it in the post. and all the best bro...Earlier I thought you are from visa exempt country.

Hey Gsohunter, bro we all in the same boat as Fiso85 said. Dont worry this week will be good for all of us. keep on trying canada post app around 4:30pm to 7:30pm as that ll be the time they gonna post our passport
