App recevied Nov 28 2014, confirmed app recevied from hong kong at March 11 2014.

Not sure how long have to wait. Suffering and live separate with my wife more than 8 months now. Hate the long process time and unknown complete date. What can I tell to my wife. Waiting is the only thing we can do.

Still shows app recevied and have no changed to in process yet. But the CIC website increased one month time frame from 9 to 10.

Are those officer even working right now?

You're almost there! They actually issued some DM recently, and some applicants have VOH, hope they can pick up the pace! I already have my mind set up not to check the eCAS before January applicants IP.

I recently had my sponsorship application approved and they had forwarded to the HKVO. I got a letter saying that they are forwarding it to HKVO but will I get a letter or will the status change when HKVO receives the application?

Graps, I the same. CIC sent me email saying they send app' to HKVO. Shortly after that my wife in China got AOR2, with a UCI # and a file #. We all wait together. QQ is very busy, lol

Ian,

There are many topic in this forum about Cargo shipment form (B4), we are entitled ship used household items free of charge value under CAD 10,000/item holding AOR2 documents. My case is much easier my husband and kids returning CDN altogether.

How much for furmigation ?
I think around HKD 1900 for 20' and HKD 2600 for 40'

20' container (About 27 CBM) is Hugh for a family of 4 without furniture
example : carton box size 50*40*60 = 0.12 CBM (The biggest carton size) about 220 boxes

40' container (about 54 CBM)
I have 10 pallets furniture, and about 170 items (boxes and pcs)

Mumof3

Mumof3,

Would you please kindly tell me how much for 20' container(including contact information)?

Thank you

Chris

Chris,

Are you going to BC?
What is your timeline?

I am using 40' container which is double capacity of 20'. There is 40' extra long container similar price as 40'
No furmigation required for wooden furnitues and used Mattress (New settler and returning Canadian more than 5 yrs)

My quotation for July : (excl. packaging, local mover cost from your home to cargo warehouse)
* I have checked over 4 months , it is a very very low price!!

HONG KONG / VANCOUVER (PORT)

O/F : USD 1461 / 20' (TBC)
HK charge : HKD 6,600
Seal HKD 70.00 (in case of no packaging furniture)
* Vancouver side : CAD 1750 + tax

O/F : USD 1750 / 40' (TBC)
HK charge : HKD 9,500
Seal HKD 70.00 (in case of no packaging furniture)
* Vancouver side : CAD 2900 + tax

Sailing time only 2 weeks
Sea shpt is seasonal price, I guess July is not high season.

Contact info better send to you in private mail

I submitted my application in Dec, after received SA and said it sent to HKVO, then no more reply. My medical checkup will be expired in Dec. I plan to land in Nov. Do you think COPR will be issued by that time? Seems HKVO is slow down..

Checked E-CAS today for update, there were still no updates last week. Pleased to finally see: "We started processing your application on June 3, 2015."

Timeline has been:
Oct 17 2014 AOR1 (Mississauga acknowledges receipt)
early January 2015 DM1 (sponsor approved)
no AOR2
Mar 25 2015 BJ to HK (applicant is a mainlander)
June 3 2015 IP

Hi, I'm a November applicant and my wife and I have been dying to hear any news about COPR.
Thank You Brian for posting, you really gave us hope that we will be together. We hope you can get your COPR soon.

Does anyone have any advice on getting cheap tickets. I find the prices fluctuate so much and the cost could be high with me flying back with her.
My wife lives in Chengdu and I noticed the ticket prices are much cheaper if we could travel through San Fransisco. Is that an option for her to transfer planes through America?
Are there any alternatives?

My Timeline is so far:
November 25, 2014 (Application Receipt)
AOR1: February 18, 2015
Transfer Date: February 20, 2015
AOR2: March 10, 2015

My wife was also living in Chengdu until she moved back to Chongqing earlier this month and I've flown the United flight from Chengdu to San Fran. United flies it with the 787 so is a relatively nice flight.

Your wife would have to have a US visa to go through any US airport on her way to landing in Canada, however. The US does not have "sterile transit" whereby you can just stay "air side" until the onward flight and avoid going through US passport control.

Since there is a US consulate in Chengdu, it might not be all that inconvenient for you for her to apply for a US visa as she could interview right there in south central Chengdu. If you ever wanted to go to the states after she arrives in Canada, she'd have to interview at a US consulate in Canada so if you live in northern Alberta or Sask or Manitoba etc you might have to make a special trip to Calgary for a visa interview if she didn't already do that in Chengdu. There's a chance she could get a 10 year multientry US visa right now so perhaps you want to try for that before she comes to Canada.

From the cases have got VOH or PPR, are October applicants, so either they are still working on the October applicants now or they might have started November cases too, there are 5 months till November, I "think" you shall get COPR by then, but don't quote me on that, I hope they can process each month within 30 days, hopefully they can finish processing the backlog of the Beijin applicants and fully work on the Hong Kong ones.

Many BJ applicants' ECAS shows IP of those sent in May, June, September to October.

Hello everyone,

Need help. I submitted my application in Dec 2014, got AOR1 on Mar 4, DM1 on Mar 9 and at HKVO, AOR 2 on Mar 31. Currently, there is no any new updates on e-cas. I want to see a "IP" badly

I have recently renewed my passport and just got the new passport back a couple of days ago. (old Passport had no empty page left.)

My question is how to notify CIC HKVO for the new passport? by email or by mail and what the address? I tried but could not find any instruction on CIC website.

Thanks in advance. ;D

Hi Martinzx,

I think a new passport is not an issue. Looking into AOR2, it says :

When should I contact CIC?
You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, a marriage or a divorce
• Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number)
• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual
• Decision to withdraw your application

You may send enquiry to HKVO :

Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong

Tel.: (852) 3719-4700
Fax: (852) 2810-6736
E-mail: hkong@international.gc.ca
Postal address:
8th floor, Berkshire House, 25 Westlands Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong
