Checked E-CAS today for update, there were still no updates last week. Pleased to finally see: "We started processing your application on June 3, 2015."

Timeline has been:
Oct 17 2014 AOR1 (Mississauga acknowledges receipt)
early January 2015 DM1 (sponsor approved)
no AOR2
Mar 25 2015 BJ to HK (applicant is a mainlander)
June 3 2015 IP

There's a good news.... Hope Nov application will get the "IP" soon

2014-Oct-7 Application Received in CPC-M
2015-Jan-8 Additional Documents Requested
2015-Jan-21 Confirmation Additional Documents Received
2015-Feb-27 Sponsorship Approved, app forwarded to HKVO
2015-Jun-8 Second Medical Exam Requested (although Upfront Medical in Canada still valid under one year)
2015-Jun-8 ECAS Changed from "Application Received" to "In Process"
2015-Jun-11 Second Medical Exam Completed in HK

You just need to satisfy the immigration officer that you will not overstay your visit. If you have proof of your return journey ticket that's helpful. If you're working, then let him know you took time off to go on vacation.

Why need 2nd medical exam? Yours expired?

Not sure why I needed a 2nd medical exam, but I did it anyway. My last Upfront medical was done in Canada and it's good for one year until middle of July 2015.

Thanks for copying my info over to the new spreadsheet.

Just an update for me, I was applying under the common law stream, and then we got Married and my wife gave birth to a baby girl early may.

I submitted a form to advise them of the significant changes we went though. They responded one week later and advised me to complete a brand new IM0008 and a IMM5406E and mail it to HKVO with a copy of the proof.

So, it seems like they are quite responsive, but wondering why they take so long to process...

Email arrived 3:36 AM Eastern time requesting passport (send to Beijing VAC managed by VFS, oddly enough), RPRF receipt (I already paid this, though), and 3 photos at the specs required for a PR card.

Promptly checked e-CAS and it's "Decision Made"
