Same thing here!

been trying to access MyCIC since last Friday 14/9/2016 with no luck. Right after logged in and when clicked on "Continue" it gives me "Internal Server Error 500".

I cleared my cached files, changed browsers, changed device, even changed internet connection and the same error still comes up every time!

Also submitted a CSE with Technical Difficulties. Still, nada!

The most annoying thing is, I received an email from CIC yesterday and can't even view the update on my application because of that 500 Error.
call cic agent and give them your UCI or Application number and they will tell you what messge you got from them. That was I did,so you will stay up to date..

alex is right - my directions are to link the account, but if the system is giving a 500 error that's on CIC's side. There appears to be some issue specific to a batch of GCKEYs. Last week-ish CBC did a story about GCMS having security holes. My best guess is they tried to patch something, it messed up, and now they're trying to fix it. It seems like some folks have had luck creating a new GCKEY and linking the application, however I can't recommend that as I don't know the impacts of re-linking a linked file, and whether or not updates or document requests are transferred over.

I just relinked my parents account. Before I used GCKey to log in and this time i used Sign-in partner.
I tried linking the application for my parents 4 times and no luck. On the fifth attempt I did as lalicatter suggested and put space in city and it found my parents application.
I can sign in now and view MyCIC that way. there were no errors as far as i can see and all my previous messages still in account.

This is why I have not tried recreating a GC Key. I am waiting for the issue to be resolved. Hope it does not take too long.

I have resisted not being a troll, but let me get it out of the way: internet is hard...

OK now that, that is out of the way, realistically speaking, myCIC will email you if there is any change -- is there a point to checking it while you wait for a fix? Remember I used to hate Tuesdays.....

Exactly... So, don't worry about it. If there is something pressing you can call the Call Centre or CSE.

Or you can create a new GCKey (but then you need to maintain two if you have used it for other services like pogie..)

I created my own GC Key (SA) but can I link an application that is not mine but husband's (PA) to it? Won't CIC wonder why there the same application is connected to two accounts?

Associating an app to an account currently breaks previous associations... we found out by unit testing..

Thanks. I guess I will wait it out.

Guys, Great News :)
I just tried to log in to my account nd it worked smoothly. So give it a few hours and try to log in and it should be just fine :):):)
All the best everyone :)

What a relief...

I could finally sign in and download the medical forms and instructions for PCC, RPRF and CSQ.

I think they finally got it together after so many calls, messages, case inquiries, tweets, etc. that we all made. Was a pretty stressful week for me.

Wow... It really works for me too now.

Yes! Yes! Yes! It is working again. Just checked.

Thanks everyone for your support.
