Got AOR from havana sept. 18. So just over 6 months from when it got to havana. Would have been sooner if he didn't have to go for an interview.
when did they notify him of the interview? and what did they ask him?

Most likely.. If they requested it they should have stated that

i believe on the guide for the caribbena and cuba You have to send originals(not translates) from other places you send a translated copy...

also, police certs expire in 1 year or 6 months? same thing as medicals?

Oh ok.. Any document you give to the embassy needs to be translated into English
My application was sumbitted July 2014 as well.. I ordered my notes and nothing seems to be wrong with the date on the criminal record. I believe it is good for 1 year once you submit your application

Hello everyone. I have a question, this for a friend of ours as I am not Cuban but our friends's wife is. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there will be an interview there are a number of red flags that I can figure out, the biggest of which is the age difference, about 48 years. What our friend would like to know is once it is determined that there will be an interview about how long of a wait time would there be for the interview to take place? Is it a few months or is it more. He would also like to know if anyone knows at what point they will hear that there is an interview needed. Basically he was hoping his wife would be here in Canada somewhere near the time frame that is listed for Cuba to Canada immigration, however I have told him I think it could be far longer than that but that I would ask here on the forum. Thank you for your answers.

The interview is the last last step. Immigration needs to complete all the eligibility, background, medical and security checks. Only once everything is passed will they call for an interview. For us, they called and setup the interview for 1 month away. Then 7 days before the interview, they changed the date (moved is up 4 days). Hope this helps!

Thank you Mrs Hubby I will let him know. For some reason he thinks that part way through them looking at her application they will call for an interview I did not think he was right but needed to ask so that I could give him the most accurate information I could. Another question, how long after the interview would they know the decision that was made?

This is a rant but..

Tired of this long waiting.. Apparently last year the processing in Havana was really fast but they had a change in staff because they were processing files "too quickly", under 2 months.

And now I hear this woman, a couple of years ago, got an answer from Havana 2 weeks after her file was received.

Probably doesn't seem like a lot, but it's almost been 5 months since the start of our process..

Probably also not the only one with these feelings.

I know exactly how you're feeling! I'm feeling very hopeless at this point :( seeing everyone get their visa or atleast a call by 5 months and now it's been 6 months since my AOR and still nothing... I don't know why they are taking so long with our case when no concerns are indicated on the GCMS notes I received... Sooo frustrating!
