DO YOU HAVE Aor and SA yet? Maybe you can call tomorrow and ask CIC if they know if after visa is requested if you can get the original marriage certificate back. I know we got two when we were married . I also understand that you can get a second one at a cost in Cuba from the notary.

Oh I did call CIC, spoke with different persons which said:

-You will receive everything back a month after file was transferred to VO
-You won't receive anything back
-You didn't have to send any originals in.

go figure...

Yes I got both SA, AOR. My file has been in Havana for 2 months now.

Sounds about right lol There are several people on here that have their visa's issued in the last couple of weeks some had interview's as well. I am sure they would have the answer as to whether you get everything back . My application went to Havana Jan 6th so it is now a wait and see.

My husband had his interview a few weeks ago. They did not give him anything back. (we also did not send originals, except police certificate, only certifed copies, with a notarize translation). All pictures and greeting cards were scanned and printed, as we did not want to risk not getting them back. we also received 2 copies of the marriage certificate, and if you don't get your original back from CIC, you can have your spouse order a new one.

We did sent originals of our wedding invitations, and did not get those back.

Does anyone know the cost of a bus ticket to Havana for a Cuban citizen?

From where? It's half price for children under 12 years - 3 days old, and 132 CUP from Las Tunas. Coming back is more expensive however. Expect to pay 10-15 CUC on top for the fare to get a seat.

I am asking on Astro from Holguin to Havana.

So the prices are about right, maybe 10% more from Holguin. An alternative for Cuban nationals is domestic flights. Generally, they are always full, but it's under 15 CUC one-way. It's a paper system, so you need someone on the ground to go and ask.

Of course I was stressing because I never know what is happening, there are always so different versions.
At this moment all I want is for my husband to get his visa as soon as possible (:

Question: Did I need to get the penales antecedentes translated?

We did translate it, as it said anything that was not in English or French needed to be translated, so I don't know if it's not translated, if it's ok.
