currently they wont find out since cubans dont need an exit permission no more so the passport agency(immigration) wont ask why they need the passport nor contact gaviota...
This all happened in 2014, after the requirement for exit permission, so it's completely unrelated. It's up to each individual if they think the risk is worth it.

Hello there, that is either Canada post or DHL or a person whom is traveling to Cuba, last year I sent a package (DHL) from Calgary to La Habana, it took three weeks, from Calgary went to BC, to UK, to Spain and finally to La Habana, and when my wife sent me a document (DHL) to Calgary it took almost three weeks, went from La habana to mexico to Toronto and finally to Calgary, also I'm going to visit my wife the first week in May if you need to send docs, also you could email or fax your invitation to her and across the Canadian Consulate (Visa section) in La Habana is an office where they can do the application for you for a fee. I hope my comments help.

Oh my god!! thats amazing!!! okay, does anyone know what the office accross the way is called?

I need to do this quick -my wedding here is in one month and i don't have much time - how do i get the invitation down to varadero? this is horrific!! i swear!

I don't remember the name of the office, but is just across the Canadian consulate (visa door/gate) but u just walk in and they will take care, they do have very much all the forms that are needed and the lady whom does it for you is very helpful, about Varadero, may be there is place where you can Fax or email the invitation, my wife is from La Habana I don't know anything from Varadero, but as suggestion some could go to a local hotel and ask to reception if they could get a fax and if so pay a fee to them and get the number sent to you and the time you will send it so the person can wait right at the hotel reception, just an idea.

Got AOR from havana sept. 18. So just over 6 months from when it got to havana. Would have been sooner if he didn't have to go for an interview.
